Isseue69 Government should place few, if any, restrictions on scientific research and development.


Government should carefully place restrictions on scientific research and development, which means some restrictions should be abandon, some should be added. So I do not agree with author’s absolute judgment.


Scientific researching is a important thing, whose products make people's life more and more efficiently. On the one hand, if the financial supports for the research are limited, some important research may not go on. In the time of Renaissance, lots of supports are made for the science. In the recent years, China almost spent nearly 2000 billions on the scientific research each year. So do other countries try to make money not hamper the development of science. Obama said they would invest more on science and education. Governments did the very right thing on this aspect.
On the other hand, ideology, which is an instrument of the science reproduction, can be the science's goals, expectations, and actions. If the government denies the researches' results for the ideology reasons, probably there are more Bruno tragedy, who propose a almost right view on the uranograghy but wrong for the Vatican. People may not be burned like Bruno, but the science may be hold back again. So we should give scientists a freeway to get an right point of view on the nature, which means some restrictions are harmful.


How ever, nothing can be the most important thing in the world, include scientific research. So science can be without restriction, which is the effective tool and dangerous tool for the human being. What we have done can not be erased, 580,000 people have already die from Unit 731, which was a department of Japanese Army during World War. They did scientific researches just like these: Vivisection without anesthesia, weapon testing on human body, inoculating diseases on prisoners to study their effects, and other wicked and sick experiments. The government dismisses the ethic side science, then cause lots of problem. Without this issue, American would take the extreme risk of public condemnation to put the nuclear bomb into provinces Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan. Actually, that is also an abuse of science misled by American governments.
So there are sure some restrictions need to be added on the scientific research.


For the goal of making it a very valuable thing, government should carefully place the really necessary restrictions on the scientific research. If the research can improve the people's life, for example, artificial intelligence, which contains many aspects such like robotics, who can do things intellectively then spare the boring work of human, we should support them with money, with education. There are restrictions, too. Money should not spent too much and people want to have that education to go on research must take an examination. What's more, the resources must consume on the most promising project, which can revolute people's life with technology. And the researches for evil goals, by wicked means should be stopped by all the governments of the world.


Scientific research and development are important for society and humankind, we need seriously make the restrictions on them. Not add too much on them if they are for the good purpose, not add too little on them if they are evil.
