到底是说哪一代人，特征是什么？

还有Generation Y, Baby Boomer 等？？

最近经常看到这些，有些迷惑。

Babyboomer - someone born between the late 1940's and
early 1960's; usually counted from 1946-1964.  There
were more babies born during this time period than at
any other in U.S. history. This was because soldiers
came back from World War II and started getting
married and having families. Also, the economy enjoyed
prosperity so people could afford to have large
families.

Generation X - The generation following the baby boom;
people born in the United States and Canada from the
1964 to the late 1970s. There were books written about
this generation that they didn't have the passion
about politics and social issues that the babyboomer
generation did. It was written that "Generation X"
cared only about unimportant things like video games,
fashion, movies, etc.

Generation Y - the current generation; The generation
following Generation X, especially people born in the
United States and Canada from the early 1980s to the
late 1990s

generation X 最通俗的代号就是“垮掉的一代“, 当然不是指“垮掉“的文学流派，更多的是指这个generation 的人比较懒，对生活态度比较消极 ，嗬嗬，generation Y 则是 e 时代的 ddmm.

我这一代是Generation Y (高中的时候英语课谈起的)
特征据说是要比起 X 那一代的没有那么个人主义和消费主义 (虽然我很怀疑....)
