Nowadays with the rapid development of society, it becomes a hot topic concerning whether movies and televisions should show audience good people being rewarded while bad ones being punished. Someone may agree with the statement due to the moral effects it may bring, while from my perspective, although true to some extent, it is too hasty to assert that movies and televisions should always do so.

R) ]0 ~- [8 G' N5 A' N' aIt is tempting to say that it would be good to the whole society as well as every individual if movies and televisions they watch show good people are rewarded and bad ones are punished, which is beneficial for the whole society’s construction. As we all know, the movies and televisions play important roles in the society’s good because of the fact that they are so widespread that almost everybody could get in touch with them.(这句话的因果成立么？) So what they broadcast is very crucial, which would affect the economic development of society as well as people’ mind. If people could get to know positive moral values in movies and televisions, it would be effective in making people understand what is right and what is wrong. In others word, broadcasting these ideal moral values is imperative for the whole society as well as for the people in it.

8 K6 \9 ^' I# G, q. y: \However, it is too hasty to assert that this kind of positive moral values is(should) always been showed in movies and televisions, due to the complication of real life and the revelation of (necessity of revealing the) truth. First, as we all know, the real life is not as simple as the statement in the title—good people get rewarded and bad people get punished, while contrary to the statement is the complication of real life. Evidence could be derived from our common sense. For instance, it is a good hope that kind people would lead a happy life, however, it is not always this case. Leifeng, one of the famous good people in China, dies at a young age, without enjoying his beautiful life. On the other side, will bad ones always get punished? The answer is no. We know many bad persons are still out of control and even having wonderful life. It is unfair, however, this is the complication of real life and movies and televisions should show the real life rather than avoiding the passive side of life.

Besides, movies and televisions could be seen as medias (media就是复数), whose task is to reveal the truth in the society (跟上面有点重复？). As I mentioned above, the real life is complicated, so does the truth. It is difficult to imagine what the consequence would be if movies and televisions always show good people get rewarded and bad ones get punished. People would be too innocent to deal with the coming complicated world they are going to face, which are, of course, detrimental for the future development of individuals. : g. g# W) r; C2 U$ h9 V5 C  s7 u

All in all, from the discussion above, I could draw safely the conclusion that although it is indispensible for the movies and televisions to show the positive moral values, such as good people get rewarded while bad ones get punished, the statement has some defects at the same time. Due to the complication of real life and the task for movies and televisions which is revealing the truth of society, movies and televisions should also show other side of society, more comprehensive exhibition of the truth society.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Nowadays, it is not important for families to eat meals together regularly.! S5 y; x& V4 p5 |+ ^' n

Nowadays with the rapid development of society, people are more and more concentrating on their work rather than on their homes, especially taking into the increasing competition they are facing, so it is tempting to assert that it is not important for families to eat meals together regularly as they did before. However, I strongly disagree with the statement due to the significance of family gathering in our lives, as well as the benefits it brings to the whole society as well.

Admittedly, coincident with the high-speed development of the whole society is the growth of pressure modern people are confront, so stimulating by the competitions, people are more inclined to focus more on their works, for example, how could they make good impressions on leaders, how to improve the sale performance in companies? Filled with these stuffs in their mind, the significance of family is overshadowed by that of their jobs. Based on this phenomenon, it is tempting to assert that eating with family members together is not that important than before, because people are more and more focusing on their work than on their families.

However, from my perspective, family is the most important part in everybody’s heart without any question. For one thing, family is the comfort bay that people could rely on, feel relax and get comfort from. As everybody knows, the love family members give is selfishless, without considering any rewards. So when we are tired of fighting in the work field, we could be relaxed in our family. When we feel frustrated in our work, comfort could be obtained from families. Every time when we have talk and chat with families over dinners, we may be more energetic than before, releasing our pressure and preparing well for the next competition.

For another thing, having dinners with families could also benefit our health. As known to all, people who are busy at work have the propensity of ignoring what they eat. What they care is having dinner quickly so they can start work as soon as possible. However, the defects of this action certainly outweigh the advantages it brings. Fast food is not healthy and eating too fast is also detrimental for stomach. So if people could have the chance to have dinner with families, they could enjoy the delicious food mom cook, far much better than what they eat in companies.

Last but not least, evidence that it is beneficial for people’s further development could also contributes to my position. Parents have more experience than we have, so through having dinner with families, they could give us more sincere and important advices we need, which are of course very crucial for our future development. For instance, when I had an internship in a company and I feel confused about whether I should take this kind of job in my future, I consulted my father and listened to his advice, which was inspiring for me.

All in all, with the explanation above, I can draw safely the conclusion that having dinners with families are as important as before. What we can get is not merely delicious food, but also the love from families, the healthy body conditions, and the useful advices for future development.

With the rapid development of the movie industry, the discussion concerning whether only those movies that could teach us about real life worth watching becomes a hot topic. Although this kind of movies is of high value, defects that may danger this correctness of this statement could be seen. From my perspective, there are much more kind of movies that are useful and beneficial for both people and the whole society.

Admittedly, movies that could teach us about real life is beneficial to some extent. This kind of movies leads us to know more about the real life in our society. Through watching them, the things that we can learn include what people are like, how should we act, what virtue could we learn, etc. However, we couldn’t limit our own views due to the advantages this kind of movie brings to us. In fact, there are other movies that are also, even more inspiring.

As we all know, many kinds of movies exist nowadays, including real movies, as mentioned above, and fantasy movies, thrill movies, comedies, or even cartoons, all of which have their own advantages that are good for people’s mind. Take fantasy movies for example. I was fascinated about Happy Potter movie series when I was in high school, and I’ve followed all the episodes of it. The stories are so interesting, quite different from normal ones. I love these magic stuffs in it so much that I even imagine what if I also have magic power. Unlike movies that reflect real world, the fantasy movies such as Harry Potter could broaden my imagination, enjoying the fantastic feeling in our daily boring life.

Besides, science movies are also very inspiring in the aspect of acknowledging the whole world, even better than what real movies could. Due to some kind of constrains, the essence of truth of the society could not be revealed in movies that reflect real life, although its slogan is to “reveal the real life”. While in these science movies, it is more free and easier to express what director what to say. Take The Matrix for example. Everybody knows that The Matrix is a famous science movie made by Hollywood. It seems that it just tells a story that is irrelevant to our world and society, however, the spirit of the movie is very profound, which uncover the theme of what the life is in the world, serious philosophical topic it discusses.

Recently comedies and cartoon movies are becoming more and more popular, maybe due to the increasing pressure we are facing every day. By watching comedies, we can laugh out loud forgetting the unpleased things in our life and indulge ourselves in stories of the movies; and the missing innocence of childhood could also be retrieved by watching a simple cartoon movie. Getting together with families and watching a comedy in front of screen, how wonderful it is!

All in all, through discussion above, I could draw safely the conclusion that it is too hasty to assert that the only movie that worth watching is those reflect real life. Not merely is the movies that reflect real life worth watching, but also other kinds of movies, such as fantasy movies, comedies and cartoon movies, etc, could bring us terrific feelings and release us from daily pressure and enhance the understanding about the whole world.

In the reading passage, the author asserts that dinosaurs were endotherms with three reasons, and in the lecture, the professor discusses on the same topic, however, she casts doubt on the statement in the reading and gives three specific reasons to support her opinion.

Initially, the professor confirms that with the evidence of dinosaur fossils discovered in polar regions, it is not enough to support the statement that dinosaurs are endotherms. The temprature of polar regions may be not that cold as it is today, so it is possible that dinosaurs could survive; even polar regions become cold enough, they could migrate to other districts which are warmer, or they just could hibernate. The reason given by the professor is incompatible with that in the reading passage.

Besides, in the reading, the author supports the statement by saying that the position and movement of legs. Endotherms's legs are all posed underneath the body, so are dinosaurs'. However, in the lecture, the professor disputes this statement. She contends that legs underneath the body could also be explained to support more weight of body, so they could grow into large size, which are advantage for dinosaurs.

Finally, contrary to the assertion in the passage that with the existence of harversian canals, dinosaurs are endotherms, the professor gives different opinion. It is true that dinosaurs have harversian canals in their bone structures, while the feature that dinosaurs would grow slowly or even stop growing in cooler period is not the characteristic of endotherms, which will grow rapidly even when the environment becomes cool.

All in all, the reading passage is disputed by the reasons in the lecture and the professor confirms that the three explanations are unconvincing and dinosaurs are not endotherms as the author asserts in the reading.

只是对于题目的理解我有点疑问，个人觉得题目的意思是“只有那些值得观看的电影可以教我们一些关于真实生活的道理”，不过从文章看，你对题目的理解是“只有那些能教我们关于真实生活的一些道理的电影是值得看的”，不知道是不是我的理解错了。。。
