但是研究那几个人只是为了方便研究，他们往往是领导者，他们身上有着大众的共性。研究他们更方便。
Personally，I subscribe to the notion that when it comes to history, we always choose to talk about several famous individuals at that time. Yet, that is not all the case. Occasionally, we catch the point of a few typical events or economy to help comprehend the very stage. Few would dispute that most significant events are not made possible by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten. It is a typical of narrow analysis to focus on the few. Generally speaking, individuals can often represent a number of characters of that period. My justifications are amplified as follows.
To start with, we do intend to commence to research a piece of history via the point of celebrities, while we seldom care about the common group. For instance, when considering Chinese ancient culture, we are used to speak high of Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi and so forth. Undoubtedly, they devoted a lot to the poetry. As a matter of fact, there are a myriad of poets then. The case goes for economy. Since the wealthiest businessman during the Tang Dynasty sold chinaware, it suggests that Tang Dynasty has a high GDP owing to the trade of chinaware. Li Bai, Du Fu,and the wealthiest businessman are just the few, but we may be acquainted with the very pieces of history.
Moreover, it is commonly noted that history is not created by the minority. Sometimes, it is necessary to know the willing and attitude of the public in large scale, especially when it gets involved in politics. The equal right to vote provides every citizen to support their leader in their mind. And the victory of a president candidate results not just from the minority. It is the ordinary folks that actually own the power to decide who can be adequate to the position of president. Taking the triumph of Barack Obama for example, not the primary figures of the Democratic Party of the United States but the voter all around America that determine his success. In another word, assumed that the inhabitants of Hawaii contribute to the ballot, Obama might to a great extent lost. So, several centuries later, if the historians investigate the reason for which Obama takes place of Bush, they cannot ignore the decisive role of the residents.


Admittedly, one swallow does not make a summer. The story cannot be torn away from the group. The common plays the indispensable role on the stage of history. In retrospect, there are a lot of extraordinary leaders who conducted the troops. But the result cannot fall on the possibility that two sides succeed. In this case, what might be the accounts? The answer usually banks on the attitude of the common. There is a good story in the Chinese people’s liberation war. Mr. Jiang went against the willingness of the public while Mr. Mao highlights the interests of the residents. As a consequence, Mr. Mao accomplished his success. Just to the converse, Mr. Jiang failed. Above all, it is a narrow sight to take only the two excellent commanders into consideration.

However, the research of the eminent characters is superior to that of the ordinary ones. Because the celebrity may always stand for the main attitude of person in that time. There is no need to analyze every individual.
People of a period often have a lot in common with each other. By analogy, at my age, the best approach towards wealth comes from hard endeavor of study. This can be acquired through the autobiography of the richest. For example, the CEO of Baidu, the most famous searching website, graduated from Peking University. Believe it or not, but when it comes to ideal school of Chinese student, Tsinghua University and Peking University come first on the list. it is not to difficult to conclude that a few can always reflect a certain stage of history.

In sum, the study of history is not all about individuals, but also the public or something representative. Although the core of research is mostly several individuals, the significance of the public cannot be ignorant. On account of that the noted do mirror the common, historians get accustomed to see from the individuals.（708）
