By listing such data that a for-profit hospital has longer treatment time, less cure rate and more complaints than a nonprofit hospital, arguer drew the conclusion that nonprofit hospitals are better than for-profit ones as economical and better quality. However, the argument lack some important information and make a unfair comparison, which make this conclusion less convincing.

To begin with, this argument only contains two hospitals in two place. Even if the fact that the nonprofit hospital is economical and better than for-profit hospital in this two areas is true, it cannot be hastily extended to all other hospital. It is possible that, in other place, nonprofit hospitals charge more money than for-profit ones in medicines or treatment service. Furthermore, in other place, a for-profit hospital usually  can afford more experts' salary and better medicine tools due to the profit it make, and when such recourses can be used by patients it means a better quality in treatment. Thus, it is unwarranted that all nonprofit hospitals are more economical and better quality in treatment.

Secondly, the comparison in argument is  unfairly. One flaw is that lower cure rate in for-profit hospital cannot prove that it has a worse quality. There are many other factors causing that result, such as the severity of patient's disease ill or injury. It is possible that patients would rather choose to go to a for-profit hospital than the nonprofit one as they trust the medicine technology of this for-profit hospital  when getting fiercely injured or having some sever illness, like heart disease and car accidents,  and the nonprofit one may even has no ability to do any treatment about these. Since treatments for such situations have more risk and less success rate than a normal cold, it is not strange that the for-profit hospital in Megaville has a lower cure rate.

Another evidence to prove the worse quality of for-profit hospital-less complaints and more employees per patients in a nonprofit one-also open to doubt. As we do not know the accurate number of patients in each hospital, it is possible that the percentage of complainer in a for-profit hospital is smaller than a nonprofit one though the total number of complainer is larger. And Less patients willing to go to the nonprofit hospital may also cause  more employees per patients. What’s more, there is no evidence that all employees in the nonprofit hospital are doctors and nurses. As a result, it might indicate the low efficiency of the nonprofit one, rather than better quality.

To sum up, after providing more detail information about each hospitals’ patient and containing more researches about hospitals in other place, the conclusion could be more convincing and well-reasoned.
