It is only worth watching movies that can teach us something about real life, agree or disagree.
修改
With several decades, the rapid developing technology of film enables almost every family, humble or noble, to get access to movies. The vividness of movies attracts the curiosity of the young and the old, which makes it hard to imagine a day without movies. However, movie, as is known, is a kind of time-consuming things. Thus, it casts a doubt whether it is worthwhile to watch a movie irrelevant with the real world. In my opinion, I hold opposite view that we should only watch movies when they teach us some lessons about real world.
For most people, the purpose to enjoy movies is simply to relax. As the rapid pace of current world, most people, especially citizens, tolerate tremendous pressure both physically and mentally. And movies render a perfect way to relax their mind, needless to mention pleasure of watch movies with their prince or princess. In addition, movies serve as a suitable pill to heal the broken heart. Facing death of parents or breaking up with friends, people, in reality, demand for some escape. Some comedy movies can console them effectively. In sum, for these people, who pursue meanings other than connection with the reality, these unrealistic films possibly fit them well.
Furthermore, it is hard to judge a movie's relation with the real world before seeing it. Commonly, whether a movie is relevant with the real world is judged by its title or comment. However, it is hard, through its title, to determine the real-life value of a movie. Take "Avatar" as an example. Its name can barely remind us of it true meaning of protecting environment and individual development. Also, even the comment fails to convey the real meaning of movies. As there are thousands types of Hamlet in thousands readers, the lessons movies provide us vary among different people. Perhaps the meaningless movie, the comment indicate, renders great education value to a certain person. Thus, the claim, "It is only worth watching movies that can teach us something about real life" is nothing but a paradox.
Finally, apart from the real-life meaning of movie, there are other valuable aspects in a movie, such the background music and the strike to visual sense. Use famous Japanese cartoon movies as an instance. For me, it is worthwhile to just indulge in the background music of "castle in the sky" for a afternoon. Also recent years witness a popularity of 3-D film. The special and vivid visual experience worth a attempt, regardless of time and price of tickets.
In conclusion, different people enjoy different tastes. We should judge the value of movies by our experience in person and choose the right movie by our own needs. It is imprudent to watch the movie rendering real meaning.
