星期天的面试，今天拿到了正式的offer：

Dear **,

Congratulations!  I am pleased to inform you that you have been recommended
for admission to the graduate program in Materials Science and Engineering
at Northwestern University.  There were over 600 applicants this year, so
your selection speaks highly of your past accomplishments and future promise
in materials science and engineering.  We are pleased to offer the following
support for your graduate study:

(1)  Full support of tuition and stipend as a graduate research assistant
for the duration of the Ph.D. so long as you make satisfactory progress
towards a degree.  The current stipend level is $2,250 per month ($27,000
per calendar year).  Three courses per quarter may be taken toward academic
requirements for the Ph.D. degree.

(2)  100% coverage of university health insurance premiums for at least 5
years of continuous graduate study for students in good standing.

(3)  During the fall quarter you will be supported by a University
Fellowship covering full tuition and a monthly stipend of $2,250.  Please
note that the awarding of a University Fellowship gives you the flexibility
to find a research group to join during the fall quarter, i.e., you do not
need to find an advisor prior to accepting our offer.

(4) We will provide $800 to cover transition expenses at the beginning of
the fall quarter.  This can be used, for example, to offset the cost of your
travel to Evanston.

依稀记得去年大年三十，背G单词到初一早上一点，回家的时候街上一个人都没有，只是看到满天雪花飘落，在那一瞬间我感觉到时间似乎静止了，梦想离我如此之近。:)
