If you aims at academic job, then location doesn't matter at all. However, as far as I know, the positions for academic jobs are very few relative to the number of graduates (in stat), usually hundreds compete for one position. In this case, the academic reputation is the first priority to consider. I don't think OSU can compete with those great programs and does not have a significant advantage over those lower ranked ones. In fact, personally I think besides those top 20 programs, the rest decent programs don't have a big difference at all...
