Spending numerous money on party and on gambling is a way to earn more money, which took several days. Second, the accuracy of conversation that it occurred between Voltaire and Chevalier, which suspected by critics, was corroborated by the details in the memoir. A/D most people solve their problems by themselves or by their families, the help from government is not necessary.


Recently, an investigation about people prefers to solve problems by themselves or by government raised on the Internet. The result reveals approximate 85 present people would like to solve problems by themselves or by their families; merely 25 present people support the idea that seeking government help to deal with the issues. Contrary to the opinion that endorsed by minority, my heart feels agreement that people should settle problems by themselves or by their families which approved by majority. The reasons are demonstrated as below.

First of all, sometimes, so slight the problems is that it is gratuitous to solve though government. As we all known, gaining the control over everything is synchronize with undertaking the risibility of everything, various kinds of significant issues are waiting to be solved by government. Therefore, as along the members of our country, all we citizens should try our best to release the burdens of government. Thus, they would be more energetic to construct our country. For example, lost my credit card, could not take care of my pets and quarreled with my roommates were all problems I ever met, which were able to be handled by myself or my family members.

Second，in the process of solving problems though government, of importance element id time. Why, you may wonder, should time be taken in consideration? The result from the people’ urgency, when they confront a thorny thing. However do you feel, you can imagine when you fall into a trouble? It must be anticipated to be solved as soon as possible. If we eager to get help from government, however, the consequence we required is to wait. One reason of this phenomena is that the issues the officials met is disorder, they must category them into different department. Another reason is that the number of our citizens is multitude, the problems we send to them is also innumerable. The consequence is that spent profuse time. For example, one of my friends wanted to get his stolen car back and he asked for help though government two months ago. Until last week, he got mail that they started to finding.

Third, no one will deny that government represents authority. The result, solved problems by government, is reasonable and impartial. Government builds the essential foundation of people though those things. Numerous though the advantage that government solving people’ problems are, they cannot compete with the advantages that solving by themselves brings about when convenience is taken into consideration.

To sum up, it is apparent that many major issues we are confronted with today are even direct or indirect connected with government. I propose that government should increase their efficiency. Consequently, I reinforce the idea that people should solve problems by themselves or by their families but government.

A controversial topic that the reason is about number of sea otter declined is argued in reading passage and lecture. Two possible explanations reading passage gives, neither acknowledged in the lecture, are environmental pollution and predators’ attack. The cause supported by lecture is most likely predation.

First, the pollution is weakened because no one can find a dead otter on the Alaskan beach. For this reason, infection is not the cause which is refuted the depiction in reading material. In fact, it is so hard to find evidence that otters killed by predators, if it is reality, otters must be eaten immediately but be found on shore.

Second, the reading material pointed the environmental pollution again which stands on the opposite of the lecture. The lecture advocates that numerous sea mammals are eaten by orcas. The reason is that human hunters meddled orcas’ diet habit so that they have to eat smaller sea mammals to survive which mentioned in the reading passage: sea lions, seals and sea otters. It precisely demonstrated the affect of entire ecosystems.

Third, an observation believed by scientists that uneven sea otters decline caused by pollution departs from the idea which endorsed in lecture. Uneven decline result from the location weather closed to orcas or not. Consequence is apparent to understand: shallow or rocky locations are not easily to access, therefore, uneven pattern decline occurred.

It’s easier to be successful nowadays than past

With the booming of society which abounds with numerous opportunities and challenges, a growing number of people achieved their goals. Some people wondered weather it is easier to be successful nowadays than past? Thereby, an argument is arisen. Most of people approved that success definitely easier to get. A few people, however, queried that opinion because there were plentiful of people realized their dreams. From my prospective, it is more pertinent to achieve our targets nowadays than past. The reasons are demonstrated as below.

First, for all struggling people, it is opportunities that are especially precious when they were on their way to accomplishment because along factors affecting success is opportunities. Without opportunities, talent , strivers have, is not able to be elaborated; without opportunities, they will abandon their interesting job and transfer to others which only could bring them income; without opportunities, incipient dreams, supplying them impetus, fade in their brains gradually. Coincidentally, opportunities, not sufficient offered in the past, are ready for those strivers in recent years. Thus, comparing with past, the proportion of success of those people is risen immediately.

Second, as we all known, knowledge is power. On the way of exploring success, attendance of knowledge plays a significant role. Expending horizon, familiarizing cosmopolitan culture and developing potency are all advantages knowledge brings about and what we required indeed in future for being success. Modern education just gratified people’ requirement. Distinguish with past, popularization of advanced knowledge increased people’s neither level of education or level of skill-ability. With the arm of knowledge, strivers, fulfilling with confidence, are easier become successful ones.

Third, equally important to first two factors is competition. In the past, without such fierce competition, people lived leisure, relax, harmony and healthy life. Since competition emerged into modern society, however, life was rescheduled. Numerous though the disadvantages fierce competition brings about, they cannot compete with the advantages competition causes when development of society and accomplishment of individual are taken into consideration. Competition arouses the young adults’ motivation to realize their dreams, admonishes them the importance of opportunities and sets up their confidence, especially when they were prominent from the colleagues around them. Hence, nowadays, getting success is easier than past.

In a nutshell, I strongly support the viewpoint that it is easier to be success nowadays than past. When we cherish the memory of cozy life in the past, isn’t it necessary to appreciate success today’s life brings about?

With the development of education, a growing number of people are concentrated on the quality off education. A few people approved that increasing teachers’ salaries is the best way to improve the quality of education because teachers are the parties of education; however, most people argued against the opinion because increasing salaries have no direct effects on quality of education. Contrary to a few people, my heart felt agreement with the most people who hold idea that increasing salaries is not the best way to promoting educational quality. The reasons are demonstrated as below.

First, increasing teachers’ salaries with an incomplete reason induces teachers absolutely did not devote on courses which they teaches. Why, you may wonder, did this consequence emerge? No pain, no gain. Every of us are familiar with this adage. Teachers obtain increasing wages without hardworking which will deliver them an information that it is no necessity to pay much attention to promoting the quality of education. For example, our English teacher, who got bonus of encouraging enhancing the quality of education, travelled to a foreign country instead of concerned on his career. Hence, it is definite that increasing teachers’ salaries is not the best way to improve quality of education.

Second, one coin has two sides. So does salaries’ increasing. On one hand, income’ augment absolutely inspired teachers’ enthusiasm and they were absorbed in methods of teaching. On the other hand, we all calculated, a few days later, when the motivation faded in their brains, what will happen. For instance, when our biology teacher acquired salary, manner they treated us liked breeze in spring, such as expounded the process of the experiment and analyses the problems patiently. After these days, as we imaged, storm came bake as usual. Thereby, the plan of increasing teachers’ salaries is not efficiency.

Third, to some extent, salaries’ increasing will bring negative influences the quality of education. They preferred to value their income rather than students grades. Their concept of values affects students’ gradually during the classes. Such thought is incapable to promote the development of education.

In conclusion, I reinforce that wages’ augment is not the best method to increase the quality of education. No one will deny that considerable issues we are confronted with today are even directly or indirectly the consequence of low quality of education like students cheated on examination and students committed suicide after failed the college entrance examination. Therefore, quality of education’ development is not dissolved only through economical means.

It’s easier to be successful nowadays than past

With the booming of social economics, more and more opportunities are provided in our life. Currently, whether it is easier to success recently than before becomes a frequent topic, which raises big discussion. Some people argue that people living in the past were much easier to success than nowadays. From my perspective, I do not agree with it. Admittedly, the competition becomes fiercer than before. However, it is still much easier to success nowadays, especially when the increasing opportunities and the further education are taken into consideration.

First, as for the deeper development of enterprises recently, more working chances are offered to people. The increasing working chances lead people much easier to achieve success. For example, numerous employment advertisements of some world famous companies, such as Coca Cola, Microsoft, can be seen in the every corner of the media, such as television, radio, and newspapers. Usually, the positions in the advertisements are often with good salaries, good working conditions and good welfare. Obviously, people nowadays are much easier to grab those chances. If people can take those positions immediately, definitely it is a kind of success in their life.

Second, comparing with the people before, people in our time can possess more knowledge through many approaches, which results in people are more likely to success. It is because people with more knowledge are always with broader horizon. For instance, KaiFu, Li, a popular manager in Microsoft, gained his doctor degree in engineering when he was young. As he said in a lecture, the reason he succeed in his career was not only relying on his knowledge he learned before, but also on his study nowadays through the internet. It is said he usually read two professional books a week to keep his study.

Admittedly, it seems much more difficult to realize success in our time because of the fiercer competition. Take a position offered by a Coca Cola, such as an office assistant, for example. There may be over three candidates for this job and undoubtedly, it raises the difficulty of taking the position. As a matter of fact, however, the anxiety from the competition will also become a kind of power, compelling people to utilize more time and energy to acquire the position. Surely the person, devoting more time and energy, will more possible to take the job, which means, in some extent, competition is a driving power too.

In conclusion, it is defended that the increasing opportunities and the more knowledge are make people easier to success nowadays, although the competition becomes a little bitter fiercer.

It’s only worth that watching movie that can teach us something about real life.

With the booming of science and technology, various kinds of entertainment enrich our life. Among those entertainments are movies which appeal the public profoundly. There is an argument arisen that the only worth of movies is to teach us something about real life recent days. Most of people approve that the value of movies transcend the value of teaching us regarding real life because the movies of outer space can be seen frequently. A few people, nonetheless, deem that learning involving reality is the only point movies do for us because reality is the most meaningful things. Coincidence with most of people, my heart feel objection to a few people that learning involving reality is the only point movies do for us. The reasons are demonstrated as below.
       
First, considerable movies relating to unknown objects gratify our curiosity. With prosperity of science and technology, people’s curiosities of outer space increase gradually. Movie is an excellent way to satisfy those curiosities. Manifold imaginations and predicts, which we never imagined, are all presented through the screen in cinemas. And then a space is supplied to enjoy after we see such movies. Avatar is a perfect example of these movies. A strange planet far away from us, a strange race with light blue and especially strange species ablaze during night are all impressive for people live on earth. All supposes conceived are objectified by this movies. Thereby, such eminent movies not only satisfied people’s curiosity but also motivate the exploring of outer space.

Second, movies’ diversity expends our horizon. With development of society, either adults or children are willing to expend their horizon. They do not slip any opportunities to learn even when are in their leisure time. To cater to the audiences’ requirements, industry presents various themes, including sorcery, prediction and outer space. Diversity is a remarkable method to familiar with different fields and to enlighten imagination. For instance, one of my friends was enlightened by movies 2012, conceived a painting involving disaster which won a prize from national competition. Movies out of real life enlarge our horizon and give us inspiration now and then.

Third, movies concerning on real life have no effects on releasing people’s burden. What is movie? It is a type of entertainment that is movie and it is a way that people departing from reality is movie. Considerable although advantages the development of society brings about such as high salaries and good living condition, they cannot compete with the disadvantages of high pressure leads to when mental health are taken into deliberation. Only when people feel relaxation can they ease themselves absolutely. The plots of reality movies just remind them pressure, competition and heavy work. Therefore, as a member of entertainment, movies concerning on real life have no capability to delight people.

In conclusion, the worth of movies is not that simple. When we felt boring of real life from movies, isn’t necessary to think about how amazing inspiration prediction movies brought about?

Both the reading and the lecture are talking about ecocertification on wood companies in Unite States, but the speaker disagrees with the perspective made in the reading that wood companies in Unite States have no necessity to receive the ecocertification. There are three reasons demonstrated as below.

The reading first claims the idea from the American customers’ view. Because customers have no confidence with the advertisements declaimed regarding catholic products. However, it has strongly opposed by the instructor with a new proof. He says that customers differentiate products by certification. For instance, they would choose the companies with the ecocertification permitted by international. That is why the opinion of the reading is challenged heavily.  

Furthermore, the professor also asserts that price, of course, is the most significant factors when customers purchase goods. Only when the prices, which of two things in the same category, have a numerous distinction, can price play the role. It differs the reading as well. He believes that customers must choose the cheaper one.

Finally，the professor in the listening material, maintains that customers admit that ecocertification is a international symbol which proved the competition of wood companies. While the reading claims that ecocertification is power in foreign country rather than in Unite States. According to it, reading passage has been contradicted again.

Therefore, the speaker departs totally from opinions on the topics made in the reading.
