We still have one vacant fellowship that wasn't offered yet. The final decision will be likely made this week. You didn't make a short list, but still have some chances to get it. Could you let me know if you have got any other offers already?

本人今年申请学校很少，:L 一共4所，已经2拒，目前就剩这所，还有另一个WL。
请问各位，如实回答该邮件会增加其发来OFFER的机率，还是适得其反？？？欢迎大家提任何意见

我觉得如实回答好吧？~再说lz你现在只是一个wl啊，如果这个学校很合你意，你就可以告诉他你没有，你很想去这个。没准人家会给你呢~

Tell them the truth and how much you want it. Then it depends on your luck.

Maybe you can shopw how much you know about them to convince them that you are seriously interested, but do not make mistakes.
If you know any prof, contact with them about possible position and ask for recommedation.
Maybe it can help a little bit, some times.
