The payment methods for composition fee outside Hong Kong as below:
(1) Hong Kong Dollar bank draft drawn on any bank in Hong Kong is recommended for payment of composition fee from country outside Hong Kong as no bank charges would be charged by local banks in Hong Kong . The bank draft should be made payable to "The University of Hong Kong" with the Student's name, University Number and nature of payment written at the back of the bank draft and sent to office address of Faculty of Engineering together with the offer of admissions.
(2) If it is not convenience to arrange for the bank draft, HKD payment by wire transfer is also acceptable. However, in addition to the bank charges incurred at the student's home country side, local banks in HK would also charge an amount ranging from HK$100 to HK$250 for the wire transfer. Please be reminded that all these bank charges should be borne by the sender or remitter and only the net HKD remittance amount (after deducting any bank charges) would be updated to your own student account with the University. Details of our University’s bank account for receiving payment through a wire transfer from overseas are given as follows:-
