认为政治和道德是两码事的人既不懂政治又不懂道德。
Some statesmen, including some other people, argue that it is too critical to require an political leader to do everything within the confines of morality and that if he is effective enough to deal with his normal work  properly and efficiently, he is already a brilliant political leader. But, in my view, politics and morality are positively linked with each other, and to divorce one from the other will lead to disaster, especiallly when he is a political leader.
In this point, some people will insist that morality is an individual thing and too much requirement for from a leader, especially a political leader will impair his effectiveness. There opinion is that morality has nothing to do with the normal political affairs. It is false. My politics professor once said, in his lecture, " A statesman is at first a man wiht high ethics and morality; since morality is a prerequisite for humanity, which makes it possible to distinguish human from animals, a effective political, especially if he wants to become an good political leader, he should play more emphasis on individual morality than the common people." Therefore, a man should, at first, be a moral man, then can he have any chance to become a good political man.
Those common people should realize that politics and morality are two essential parts of a political leader; they may not take it seriously at the daily life; but only if they are cheated by the corruption of the governmental officials, especially after the media display the notorious deeds of the immoral officials, can they understand it. Then, the whole social morale impairs, the immorality of the governmental officials have already brought much disaster to the public life and economy of that country.
On the other hand, if the political man neglected the connections between politics and morality, this ignorance would do harm to the people, the country, and more important, to themselves.
One political leader with understanding of morality is doomed to fail in his prestage to the public and consequently will lose the respect and confidence of the people he leads. What's more, if his immoral deeds were open to the public by the media, the morale of the whole society would inevitablely fall into a satate fo chaos. In Russia, government officials are notorious for their corruption, and the immoral trend was very prevalent. Whatever they did, they should be always ready for giving bribe. And that kind of phenomenon spread to the every corner in the country. From the businessmen to other governmental officials, corruption is overwhelming. Their excuses were always that their little and pitiful salary was far from enough to support their family. But was that justifiable? In reality, their salsary was above the common level; even if they were not satified with their miserable salary, they should never betray the confidence and responsibility from the Russian people. So, they fail to understand what is the true politics; they fail to understand a government should be one of the people, for the people, and to the people. For their greedy, betray the genuine meaning of politics, and more important, destroy the image of politics in the eyes of the people.
In conclusion, politics is not the only thing for a statesman, and morality is not only a decoration to his prestige; the common people should also realize that politics and morality are interconnected deeply, and then they would require their governmental offcials to deal with the political affairs on the right track. That is also a way to lead to democracy.

但是感觉你有点走题。题目并没有规定是哪一类人对政治和道德的认识，而你几乎都在谈领导者对于这两者关系的把握。事实上，我认为，对于普通人来说，需要有道德修养但不一定要懂政治。此处再问一句：何为政治？你可以查查它意思再深入地论述。

关于俄国那个例子，我觉得如果不是人尽皆知用一定要慎重，想想，万一改卷的是个俄裔美国人呢，呵呵。

当然leader需要morality，你说的比较清楚。但是不理解政治的人为什么不理解morality呢？？你好象没有说哟。如果是这样的话，最好改改论点。

你是说出了大家的共同的问题。关于前者，我觉得你还是要先过自己的心理关，别指望那么幸运吧，多做作自己不熟悉的，这样就慢慢上手拉；关于后者，我觉得argument定型的东西比较多，比较容易上手，优待磨练。
