好久没写托福作文了，乱七八糟的，希望各位高人指教啦~

It is often not a good thing to move to a new city or a new country because of the lost of old friends.

  Some of us newly graduated students are facing such a problem: While most of our friends are in the city where the college locates and we are familiar with, the city is not our dream city to live. This question is not only for college students but for residents as well. As for me, I may prefer to move. Because old friends will not necessarily separate when in different places and one can always make new friends in the new environment.

  I concede that leaving a familiar city to a completely whole[去掉whole] new one is not an easy move[an easy move—easy]. You have to start from the beginning to get to know the streets, equipments, people, customs (sometimes customs varies in a new city) and so forth of the new city. Most importantly, people whom you are familiar with are no longer with you and they cannot offer any help when you meet with trouble. With time goes by, you may even contact[with each other] less and less and finally become[becoming] totally strangers. This is surely a great loss in spirit and in life.

  However, this gap can be fixed[up] by new friends and new surroundings. With sincerity, kind heart and warm smile, one can always get to know new people and gain new friends. Some of them can surely become the new best friend. And the new situation and custom may give you unexpected experience to enrich your life.[可以扩充，举例子阿…]

  Moreover, friends will not necessary leave while you are apart[It is not necessarily the case that you will lose old friends when you are apart]. You can contact frequently with your friends via e-mails, MSN, face book etc. In fact, some great friends will remain the same even after several years without connection. If things are going well with your old friends, you will have both new friends and old friends. That is much more treasure in your life.

  In short, given the choices, I would prefer to move to a new city, as I have the confidence to make new friends without losing the old ones. And the new environment and customs will make new life experiences.[这点文中没有提到，可以在第二段里面补充] That is what I think most important in life.[That指代new life experiences?? ]
