Parents should allow children to make their own choices rather than help determine children's future?

   Today, it is still common for parents to determine children's future. In China, enormous children are pushed to learn playing piano, dancing, math and so on. It depends on what parents want their children to be. Is it good for children? Of course not. From my point of view, parents should allow children to make decision by themselves rather than arrange children's future without asking them.
To begin with, it has lots of bad effect for parents to determine children's career. If children are unwilling to engage in the occupation that parents choose for them, it is not likely for children to success in that field. Because when facing a dislike job, they can not exert their potential. What is worse, children may be at odds with parents concerning the future arrangement. It will demolish the harmony of the whole family. Finally, the entire family enters a vortex of argument losing all of the happiness.
Another merits that allowing children to make choices is allowing them to be independent. When having chances to make choices, childrem will be more serious about the life. If not, they will taste the bitterness of results. It is an excellent way for children to be mature and responsible. Let us assume my parents always make choices for me. And i do not disagree with them. It seems that i will have an easy life because i do not have to worry about the future. If you think so, you are totally wrong. My parents will not be around me forever. Once they are gone, i will have no idea how to face it. Since never have i made choices and arranged thing by myself. How terrible this situation will be?
To sum up, Since parent determine children's future leading to lots of problems, it is more reasonable to let children to make their own decision. Only in this way can they learn to be independent and responsible.
