Although I concede that many species became extinct due to some harsh natural processes, however, the human-made impacts to these species' extinction can never be neglected. Some people may argue that to strive to perpetuate those endangered species is only a meaningless and money-consuming job. Nevertheless, insofar as I can think, under no circumstances do human have any justifications for their neglecting of those dying species.

Admittedly, some rare species were disappeared because of the natural processes. The distinction of the dinosaur is an apt illustration to this point. With the advent of the ice age, these animals could not endure the cold climate and ended up with distinction. However, the natural processes can not overshadow the damage to species of human being, which might be a primary reason. After the industry invention, people began to exploit the nature resources exhaustively, reclaim the farmland, clear-cut the forests and construct countless firms. As a result many resources confront the danger of exhaustion, some of which are also the necessities for animals and plants, and machines were invented and now spread every corner in the world, and the fume, noise and poisonous gas they released seriously threaten the environment on which the wild animals' lives depend, Otherwise, the expansion of the population also degenerates the nature, and narrows the space for the wild species. Therefore human have the unshirkable responsibility of the extinction of some species.

Some people may argue that although mankind should take some commitments of the disappearance of some wild species, since their distinction will still take place due to the natural processes, there is no need to spend a large amount of money and time to save those endangered species. Somewhat reasonable as their claim is at first glance, however it ignores the importance of maintaining of the endangered species. For one thing, those endangered species may have some merits for archaeology, archaeologists will find valuable traits from their bodies, such as the skeleton and the organs, etc., based on which they may trace and investigate the character of primitive species. Consequently, scientists and researchers can arrive at some reliable evidence to explain those vague processes of animal evolvement, which is beneficial for studying the evolvement history of the species and even human themselves. Otherwise, the justifications for preserving these endangered animals and species lie in the reason that their distinctions will damage the ecological balance to some extent. Every species will occupy a certain part in the whole chain, once one part of them collapses, the whole chain undoubtedly breaks entirely. The last reason for saving these endangered species may be that they have many practical values, such as keeping the diversity of the species and having some appreciation and aesthetic values. The panda in China serves as a typical illustration. So cute and mild they are that pandas are welcomed by people all over the world. All these reasons that I presented above will justify the need to safeguard the endangered species.

All in all, although some natural processes may be the crime for the distinction of some species; the human themselves can not escape the duty for it. Furthermore, human beings should spare no effort to preserve the rare and endangered species for the purpose of archaeological, ecological and aesthetic reasons.
