在BBS上潜水这么久，终于可以给大家贡献一点了。
先说说我的情况吧：Civil 结构硕士毕业在研究所工作两年，因为I20来的比较晚，
再加上工作比较忙，就约到了8月份。今天的天气不错，立秋加上下雨，8月8
号的日子不错（我不是迷信这个，约的时候有点凑巧），而且约的号码是1号和2号。
LP硕士毕业一年。
早上7点从学院路出发，打车到那里快8点了，在石大妈那里存了包，因为下雨，
还没有放人，只好在石大妈那里买了一把伞，说实话，伞的质量的确不敢恭维。叫
号的时候我想在外面等一会儿，LP拉了我一把，说进去吧。2号窗口交表，领了浅
黄色的牌。8点多VO陆续出来，建议大家在排队的时候不要随意说话，VO在签的
时候会用眼睛的余光扫一下队伍。我前面签了大约4，5个，有过有巨。紧挨我前面的
一个妹妹好像是公司派她去美国参加有限元软件的培训，很多用中文，美男的中文说的
还不错。闲话少说，说说我们的对话过程。
Me: Good morning, sir. How are you? (Smiling)
This is the card. She is my wife and she will accompany to US.  
Lp: Hi, good morning.
(Vo 没立即回答，拿起DS表在看)
Vo: Why do wanna go to US?
Me: I wanna study in xxx. My major is civil engineering. My research is focuse
d on  
the application of FRP in strengthening existing structures.
(有点紧张，边将准备的一大骡材料放到窗口，边回答，强迫自己镇定下来)。
VO: Why not study in China?
Me: Because my research is focused on xxx, There is no such kind of research i
n Chinese universities till now.
Vo: Why would you come back after 4 years? Why not stay in US?
Me: I will come back to find a chief engineer position in my current research  
center. As we know, the largest market of civil engineering is in China. The r
esearch is focused on studying the interfacial behaviour of xxx. This research
is very important for many engineering and research projects in China. Many h
istorical buildings and bridges need to be strengthened due to aging and incre
asing load. Have you been to Summer Palace in Beijing?  
（原来准备说圆明园，颐和园及三峡大坝等都需要加固，都需要这种技术，看他没有回答
，
没再说下去）
Vo: What is your salary now?
Me: about 6000 yuan/month.
Vo: Do you have some salary sheets?
Me: Give him the well-prepared salary sheets.
Vo: Why your salary was only 2000 in the year 2000 and now is 6000.
Me: You know, when I enter into the research center, the salary is not very hi
gh. However, after one yearr’s work, I can pick up more bonus and welfare fro
m the projects I finished.  
(还在仔细看工资单，我赶紧拿出自己发表的论文)
Me: This is my publications on current researcch.
Vo 抬头看看，点点头，看来还是挺满意的。
Vo: Give me your transcripts.
Me: You mean undergraduate or graduate?
VO: both.
Me: May I open for you?
Vo: Sure
（觉得要Check了，心情还是有点紧张，lp看我动作缓慢，赶紧过来帮我，亲爱的Lp!）
VO: Your resume.
窗口实在太小了，摆了一大堆材料，塞了好几次才塞进去。
Vo 接着开始问LP.
Vo: Give me your mariage certificates.
Vo: Any pictures?
Lp 拿出我们的生活照，一张一张的翻给Vo看，翻了好几页，Lp准备放下了。
Vo: Continue.
VO: That’s all.
我赶紧说：Because I was very busy in my work, we have not taken wedding pictur
es till now. We plan to take the photoes in this month.
Vo: Ok.
Vo 拿出蓝色的一张纸，并在上面写了些东西。
Vo: You will be checked. I can not issue you the visa now. We will call you ab
out one month later. Which one is your contact number.
Me: The handphone number.
收拾材料.
Me: Thank you. Have a nice day! (Smiling)
VO: You too.

我觉得准备材料是很重要的一关，我的材料准备的很详细，一共装了好几个袋子。下面是
我的Checklist:
1．DS表；签证费收据；I20表; 护照；身份证(没用上)
2．学习方面：
Offer Letter; Admission letter; Emails from Professor and department; G/T Scor
e sheet;  
Transcripts; Resume; I20 Package; Supproting letter from PSU
3. 工作方面:
Name card; Work certificate（工作证）；Work certificate and salary certificate
; Supprot letter from  
current director; research and engineerring project pictures; salary sheets;  

4. 论文方面
Copies of the publications; MS thesis photocopy
5. 学位证原件，毕业证原件，获奖证书原件

LP checklist:
1.DS表；签证费收据；I20表; 护照；身份证(没用上)
2.学位证原件，毕业证原件
3.Life picturres
4.Marriage certificate

我的每个袋子上都有Checklist变标上袋子里面相应的页吗，这样找起来方便。建议材料多
的时候用一个透明袋子装起来，面世的时候再掏出来，这样不会乱，也不会弄丢了。
建议穿的干净整洁一些，两个人携签要注意衣服的搭配。
