Topic:人们应该坚持自己有挑战性的梦想还是注重实现现实的梦想?
The debate on whether people should take challenging dreams or practical ones to follow never stops. However, from my point of view, I am inclined to support that practical goals are more crucial. It is true that the young generation really pursues an adventurous life, and we also know that something challenging will inspire them with passion. But what, as far as I am concerned, more important is how to fulfill the dream rather than the dream itself.

Those who hold that it is a great idea to have challenging dreams instead of practical ones may have two possible reasons. For one thing, adventure which is an essential part of challenging dream means more challenges. Faced with so many difficulties and trying to figure them out, people would gain more experience and skills which contribute to stronger ability. For another thing, the realization of a challenging one must be more attracting, and that will motivate people to be active because people really need to make more efforts. Therefore, these reasons are why some people prefer challenging dreams during their life.

However, compare to the process, it is more important to accomplish the goal eventually and have some achievement. Obviously, more obstacles contribute to a higher possibility of failure. I admit that the process filled with more experience is valuable, but the Nobel Prize is never awarded to people having no breakthrough but some experience. In a word, the ability and contribution of one person are measured by what has been achieved.

Moreover, the passion will fade away without a sense of achievement. To be more accurate, what really matters is how to maintain the passion. Just like what has been mentioned above, people may get stuck in the problem, and achieving nothing will decrease one’s energy and make people lose confidence. On the contrary, by choosing some practical dreams, people is more likely to success and gain a sense of achievement which is the key to keep passionate towards life.

In addition, I believe that the road to success consists of many steps which are not so difficult to get, and after figuring out some practical goals people may have the power to make some challenging issues accessible to reach. Take computer science graduates for example, they are unable to finish a complicated and challenging program before conducting some practical and easy ones. And I’m sure after accumulation of practical tasks, the issues which appear to be challenging at first sight may turn to practical ones.
