Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Nowadays, more and more people spend too much money on their pets(dogs, cats and others), although there are better uses of money.

It is undoubted that animals are best friends of human beings, especially those which are usually kept as pets. But when it comes to the issue that whether people should spend much money on their pets, they always hold different opinions. Some would insist that people should spend much money on their pets since pets have brought them a strong sense of security while others would hold an opposite view that people should spend money to solve other important problems. From my point of view, money that is spent on pets can often have considerably significant values.

To begin with, since raising pets offers people a great opportunity to release their pressure from works and reduce the feelings of loneliness, it is reasonable for people to spend much money on it. Playing with pets or walking with pets will always make people feel relaxed to some extent. For example, when my friend Selene first moved to this huge city, she always felt lonely and blue. In order to cheer her up, I bought her a dog to accompany her. After that, since she often walked with the dog on the streets, she met a lot of new friends and finally conquered her problems.

Secondly, it is because more and more people make contributions to help homeless pets, those dogs and cats which used to wandering on the streets could get help and have safe shelters. We all admit that it is human beings' responsibilities to help animals avoid being hurt. Thus, pending money on helping homeless pets should be considered as a beneficial action to establish a more harmony society. Imagine if there are more people willing to adopt homeless pets, although they may spend more money, it is totally worthy to sacrifice for the well-being of animals.

However, I admit that money which is spent on pets can be invest in other ways in order to bring more benefits and profits. For example, people can spend more money on improving their children's education or establishing their own businesses, which will obviously allow them to uplift their living conditions.

In conclusion, although there are surely a lot of choices of how to use the money, people should spend money on keeping pets because of its significant advantages. It is not necessary to worry that people would spend too much on pets because since pets are our best friends, it will always be reasonable consumptions.
