First and foremost, extended family means alot of intimate relatives who can help us when we desire their assistances. Inmodern increasingly competitive society, interpersonal relationship become moreand more beneficial and favorable for one’s study and work. When my littlesister apply for preliminary school, it is vital to have an aunt who is thepresident of the school. With her help, we can avoid some troubles many peopleconfronted. When we compete for a fabulous job opportunity, it is advantageousto have a recommendation letter from a celebrity, who might be our grandfather,in certain field. Thus, the relationship in extended family is critical for ourlife.

Equally important is that we learn how toget on well with a lot of family members, and then we could communicate andcooperate well in study and work. After a long period of time communicatingwith every family member, we can deal with the most complicated relationshipadroitly and skillfully. In addition, we can make friends with various people,chat with them according to their unique personalities because living in such abig family, we have a special ability to read the innermost heart of people.

Finally, people in extended family can getmore care and love. A large number of family members get together, chat andlaugh to celebrate the convivial festival such as the Mid-autumn Day, a specialday to celebrate the harvest in autumn, the Spring Festival, the first day of ayear in the lunar calendar. Imagine that if one, living in a nuclear family,spends every festival with their parents, brother and sister, there will beless fun and laughter or even boring. Also, when one in extended family getsill, there will be more people come and see her or him, bringing all kinds oftonics. It is highly possible that people live in small family will stay aloneand miserably in hospital because a few other family members have to work orstudy and with little time to show their care and love for her.
