Does the studying of history really have no value when it is not relevant to our daily life? S it true that our society seems so complex and changeable that the studying of the past seems to have no meaning but wasting of time. The vigorous and heated discussion remains a heartbreaking and backbreaking problem to the sociologists. Thanks to the development of modern sociology, the speaker’s assertion that the history studying has no meaning when it is relevant to our daily life is believed not convincing but confusing. I have compelling reasons to support my conclusion.

First of a, if the speaker’s assertion is right, then how can one find whether it is relevant to the daily life? The histories are the affairs happened in the past, so, strictly speaking, there is no event that is relevant to the daily life. Even some affairs are as same as what happen nowadays by occasionally, it seems to late to study the history when such events take place. When the economical crisis take place, it is too late to study the relevant experience in the history; when the Third World War break out some day in the future, studying the formal two wars then will seem to have no meaning. Such happenings are doomed according the laws of the development of history.

However, by studying the history humans can find the laws and to avoid the crisis. History is in some sense like a mirror, in which people can see the future, that is a explanation of the uses of the history studying. By studying the history of the extinction of the some spices, one can find that the human beings are just on the road of extinction. Many spices’ dying out can be due to the declining of their living spaces. When come to the human beings, isn’t it the same case? More and more population makes the earth packed, such global problem (the over-load population) is the best evidence. The pollution also makes the living environment of humans not fit for living at all. However, by studying the history, some scientists and sociologists realize the problems and take the useful methods to solve them and avoid the crisis.

Moreover, the history is in some sense the collection of wisdom. The Sun Tzu’s book “The Art of War” is concerned to be a important lesson in some military school and also calls for attention from those who seek the victory in business realm. Some literatures are about history affairs that it is a necessary to know the history to better understand the background of such literatures. Countless examples can be listed to warrant that people learn much from the books or ideas in the history.

In sum, the studying of the history is a must to the modern sociology and other realms. It is so important no true scientists or sociologist or outstanding individuals in other realms can pay no attention to. The study of history has value no matter it is relevant to our daily lives or not.
