161"In this age of intensive media coverage, it is no longer possible for a society to regard any woman or man as a hero. The reputation of anyone who is subjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished."
Is it no longer possible for a society to regard any woman or man as a hero in this age of intensive media coverage? And is the reputation of anyone who is subjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished? Just as the speaker asserts, I agree with the speak(speaker) with(for) the following reasons.
With the invention of the television(电视不能代表整个media), our lives have changed greatly. The new policy and other information are known mostly(?) through the media. But in today's life, most media are all controlled by the corporation or the government(这一句有什么用?), and the media, of course, must work for the shareholders for the maxi-profit(??maximum profit). How to make the maxi-profit, the answer is (that删掉) to attract the eyes of people. Therefore, the media do their best to cater to the taste of the human and (the media改为to) know the human nature--people are likely to intention(名词 pay attention) on these who have succeed or who seem live(whose live seems) more interesting than us--well; So the media always focus on these people, such as succeed (successful) businessmen, effective politicians, and famous stars. (As human beings多余), people like to see someone get his or her power, but more(most) want to watch them lose it. There are many examples for this view, Clinton's sexual scandal news; people more interest to(are more interested to) talk his scandal than his effective policy. Another example is that Nixon, the famous Watergate drew him down form(from) the president, and today people still talk about his mistakes instead of his contribution for the US. Through everyone has shortcomings, as we know, so of course media will let them light(?) and his or her reputation diminishing.
Admittedly, I must concede that sometimes media may give some reports to improve his or her(?指代不清) reputation, such as the inversion(?) for the school, helping the challenging physical peoples(physical challenged people) and so on--which is good for one's reputation, of course. But all (?太绝对了,你前面的让步,不就白写了吗?)of those reports (are all删掉) work for the government or for some corporation(s). For example, the government want to enhance citizens' stimulation(??), and the most effective way is that giving people some information about it the through media(这一句太乱了,the most effective way is to give people some information through media), or the corporations want to improve their reputations; so they buy(?别扭) some time in the programmer(programs) or the page in the magazines or newspaper. All of which are game of the business and the politics.(公司和政府占用节目时间和杂志页面怎么diminish people’s reputation?这不是矛盾吗?再说题目是说人的:hero 和公司和政府无关)
In sum, maybe sometimes media can improve one's reputation for some special purposes. I still agree with the speaker that media can diminish anyone's(绝对) reputation in this age because (that删掉) people like to see someone stand on his or her power but more like to see they off their power.
好多语法错误啊,加油!!! |
