Arts ,in my point of view ,do more to reflect the ideas and impulses of a society rather than reveal the hidden ones that can not appear in social life .

As it is known to us ,arts come into being during the process of people's fighting with the hard nature which bring us from wild creature to today's modern social lives .When ancient people found food ,hunted wild animals and also raised domestic animals .They liked to wrote down what had happened in each day .Thus came to the beginning of the arts .These early arts have memorize the joy and sorrow of the ancient people ,and such  feelings are so obvious that no one can argue that it stand for the hidden ideas of them .For example ,a fresco found in the cavity displayed the primitive life such as a big tribal festival in the ancient time ,may be after a big harvest and all the people danced and sang in the picture .It clearly showed their mood and mental activity ,no hidden ideas or values are displayed in the fresco .

To be more specific ,the main function of arts is to recount the activity of the people as well as their mental world .The drawer ,musician and also the writer get  their inspirations mostly from every day life of the people and may be the artist himself/herself .For example ,the declaration of the independence shows how the American people felt under the control of the British crown .Their inclination were deeply emphasized by the announcement of such declaration and nearly all the class of the colonial rose up the fight for their freedom .We must mention here that such a burst of combative passion does not come into being in one day or one week ,it is due to years of obvious conflict between the colony and the UK ,and the declaration of independence is just to stand for the obvious feeling of the people living in north American .

Admittedly ,some people may argue that there is other artists who reveal the underlying nature of our society like violence ,sex and bribe which can not accept by the current social culture .That may be true to some extent ,but it is not the main trend of the arts ,and the majority of the arts would rather choose to display the minds and feelings of our society .

Therefore ,we may find that most arts in our society do not try to reveal the hidden aspect of people's minds and spiritual world .In fact ,arts as the forms of recounting ,tend  to reflect the human's sorrow and joy ever since they came into being .
