truth是不是“这事情很怪”的意思？那要是用accuse的话，就不是转折关系啊？为什么会有although？还有这里面的interfere算是正动作还是负动作啊？

1.前半句，his intransigence 与open disagreement from any quarter 对应，当然是不能共存的，应填负评价词。逗号表示两边同义，clever subordinates 当然不会有open disagreement ，具体分析句子，表达their opinions in casual remarks必定是intimate.
2.这题我也错过，开头为倒装，a _____ of _____ psychoanalysis is observable as a tendency of our culture，冒号前后应该表达同义。那是错的选了a，不过后来才领悟withdrawal表达出了后面的no longer，因为以前相信，现在不相信了。
3.nothing could be further from the truth，不是说明从事实中得不出任何结论（包括后面的结论），但是后面还是XX了，形成转折了。interfere的意思查查MW就清楚了。

forbid

2 : to hinder or prevent as if by an effectual command <space forbids further treatment here>

觉得forbid表达的是禁止意思偏多，但是这里是，特殊地形不适合用underground gas storage and pumped hydroelectric storage，不是forbid。

有些抽象题目，一时难以找到对应，你就先辨别是正态度还是负态度，排除错误和无关选项，然后再看具体的词琢磨。书上说的，你要结合实际来应用。

尽管没有什么比这更扯淡的了，但是货运铁路还是被指控通过对煤炭运输征收法律允许范围之外的高额费用来阻碍国家主要能源从石油到煤炭的转变。
看到网上这个翻译蛮好！

1. 第一个空更像是let engender，老板是disagreement的接受者。第二个空我确实觉得recast用起来更舒服。（此题类似陈圣元最后一个练习的第五题）
2. enigma放在这里好奇怪，仿佛与后文无对应的样子。
3. Although部分说明后面半句陈述一段所谓的谬论。谬论是什么？就是freight railroad不好（造成charging exorbitant fees)……所以第一空肯定是指责……
4. forbid更像是完全灭掉的感觉……

我想请问一下第二句：
Observable as a tendency of our culture is a (  ) of (   ) psychoanalysis: we no longer

B confrontation · · · enigmas in
C withdrawal · · · belief in
D defense · · · weaknesses in
E failure · · · rigor in

我读的时候，感觉we no longer feel在这里有一种distrust的感觉，因此选了C.  那么feel是不是和belief对应，no longer是和withdrawal对应。 以后feel我在GRE的考试里都当成believe来解读，这样可以吗？
