RE: 【daily writing】yolanda作文贴
4# 潇湘锁铃儿 3月22日 110815NA One of your classmates needs help with some schoolwork.Which solution would you recommend your classmate should do: to ask you forhelp or to find a professinal tutor for help. Include reasons and details to inyour response.
No one knows everything and nobody cansolve every problem. So it's nature that we may have some problems with theschoolwork. When this happens, who are(is?觉得是is) better to turnto for help? Your friends or a professional tutor?
Personally, I could recommend my friend todiscuss the problem with me. By discussing the schoolwork, not only myclassmate can have his/her problem solved, but also can I understand the pointbetter. Whether you can explain something clearly and logically or not (这里的or not 可不可以省了呀?留着,挺好的)is an indicator of whether you have mastered the knowledge(有没有什么其他词呀?我就只会knowledge 用得我都烦了 learning or erudition ,不过实在不行就换种表达.). Take myself as an example, last week I did my homework on realanalysis, by attempting at (应该是什么介词呀?attempt 是及物没介词的)different ways, I finally proved the problem. I thought Iunderstood it, however, when my roommate asked me about it later, it turned outthat I did not understand it totally. I figured out the way to prove theproblem, but I, in fact, do not recognize why we can do it in that way.
Admittedly, while a professional tutor canalways provide you with a 'correct' answer in a certain degree, seeking helpfrom your classmates on schoolwork may sometime resulted result in a wrong one.
However, in my point of view, it is not theanswer that matters, but the process to attain. By trying on my own and thendiscussing with my classmates, I can find out more mistakes and problems. Forinstance, last week my friend stuck with her assignments of physics, so wediscussed the questions and we
have (略去,变成we almost,感觉现在完成时用不必用在这)almost worked it out. However, both of us forgot to multiply the gravitational acceleration thistime. This can be prevented if we have a tutor to guide us. But having thecorrect answer is not the aim of doing school work. Because we were given theright answer straightly, we did not see the importance of the gravitationalacceleration. Then in that case, we may not take it seriously and would makethe same mistake easily next time.
To sum up, I recommend asking a friend forhelp when having problems on schoolwork in that it can give both you and yourfriend an improvement. Moreover, it can reveal potential mistakes ormisunderstandings of the knowledge which may be overlooked if you find aprofessional tutor.
