Do you agree or disagree with the following statement it is important to know about what is happening around the world, even if it doesn’t affect your personal lives.
People learn from everything, even though some of them are hardly found connection with each other. So, in my opinion, we’d better pay attention to what is happening around this word, since this can bring following benefits.
First, we will survive some dangerous situations, if we always care about what is occurring on the Earth. People’s life experience is a huge treasure, especially the experience how people overcome adversity, and we can get such experience via TV, newspaper or internet every day, so that we can avoid the unfortunate happening, even if something bad happened, we knew what we should do and how to do. Consequently we could minimize cost and loss. For example, when I was a kid, I had watched a TV program about an earthquake happened in Japan, bringing massive damage. Fortunately, many people survived. What's amazing is that some of the survivals even didn’t get hurt, then they shared their experiences in that TV program. Honestly, at that time, I didn’t think what they had shared was useful until an earthquake happened in my hometown. At that moment, all I can remember was the experiences which I had learned form the TV program, so I followed the rule that they had mentioned step by step. Finally, of course I didn’t get any hurt. If I wasn’t concerned about what was happening around this world, I wouldn’t watch such TV program, and the result may be reversed.
Second, knowing what is happening around this world, which enable us to help built a harmony world. For one thing, many people on the Earth still suffer from poverty, was, or disease, we can donate our money to them, helping them to lead better life. For another, by getting information from\all over the world, we can learn that many animals are in danger of extinction, and we shall do something to stop it. However, the premise of doing all such good things is to know what is happening around this world.
In a word. In order to improve our survival skill and make our world more harmonious, a lot more information should be got.
