Teachers should not make their social or political views known to students in the classroom.
From where I am stand, I disagree with the statement. That is, teachers should not make their social or political views known to students in the classroom. I think teachers can make their social or political views in the classroom. There are two reasons to support my opinion.
Firstly, let teachers talking about their personal views of their social or political events will make the class more interesting. Most students like teachers who willing to talk something about themselves instead of only focuses on the textbooks. I remember my English teacher, Ms Wang, who often told us some personal views about many kinds of things such as the hottest news evens which were the most interesting part of the class. In general, all the students like to know the teacher's views about some events or news.
Secondly, teachers talk something about their personal views in class can educate students too. Because the materials and views the teachers used in this kind of topics or discussions are usually vividly ones, instead of just learn the knowledge comes from the books. Students can learn how to think and try to practice their own independent thinking about life or important evens!
Of course, teachers should not talk too many things about their social or political views in the classroom, since the main purpose in the classroom should focus on the textbooks. Especially the political ones, the teachers should not talk too much in the classroom.
In an all, I think teachers should make their social or political views known to students in the class room. It is an interesting and meaningful thing. But it can not be overstate and can only be a supplement of teaching.
