A full-time or part-time research assistant in department of physics at Hong Kong Baptist University isneeded immediately. Duties include experimental operation, mainly being involved in the fabrication of nanostructures usinga custom designed electron beam evaporator, and morphology and opticalcharacterization.
He/She will be incharge of maintaining the custom designed facility, establishing operationprocedures and developing facility operation and utilization.



Applicants should have aBachelor’s Degree, preferably a Master’s Degree in the disciplines relating tophysical vapor deposition, optical characterization, nano-material fabricationand/or surface characterization. Microfluidics and
biology-related knowledgeand experience would be a plus. He/She should have good command of both writtenand spoken English, with independent and critical thinking.


Appointment will be made on a contract of 8 - 12 months.


Salary will be commensurate withqualifications and experience.
