Do you agree or disagree with “atuniversities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as importantas classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.” Use specificreasons and examples to support your answer.




It is said that more and more colleges anduniversities support students to do sports and take social activities, ratherthan have classes and stay in libraries recently. Someone said it is a mistake,but in point of my view, I were pleased to see thisphenomenon. I would have some reason to this below.


There is no doubt that
sports are benefits to our health. If we want to work hard, first,we must need a good health. Could you ever imagine one person who owns a weakbody can keep studying for ten hours or even more. To my experience, once I gota fever, I just wanted to sleep all the day, I could not concentrate on my classes,so in that day, I learned nothing. Obviously, we could invest more energy toour study if we have a good health. Sports could help us to reach the goal.


Nowadays, some companies claimed that theirnew employees should have social experience before they enter. Under thisrequirement the undergraduates, who did not have social activities in the campus,would lost many opportunities to have a good work. As a result of this, participatingin social movements was surely useful to students as well as taking courses. Onthe other hand, having social activities might also help undergraduates to improvetheir ability of social adaptation. It could transfer them from a student intoa social man rapidly.



Generally, not only do the classes and librariesgood for students, but also about sports and social activities. The front couldincrease knowledge and the latter would prepare students for their furtherdevelopment. The universities and colleges should receive equal financialsupport to both of these. If a undergraduate focus on either class andlibraries or sports and social activities, he might be a “right” person to all opportunitiesand challenges.
