我的作文实在太烂的，每次都无话可说，快考试了，还什么都不敢写，再也不能这样下去了。开始认认真真写作文，写得太差了，求大家狠批。谢谢诸位了！~！~！~
011 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students' sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.





When it comes to whether should university give the same money with their students' sports activities and their university libraries, different people have different opinion. From my point of view, I really approve of this plan for three reasons.

To begin with, there is no doubt that sport activities are beneficial for the students’ study and health. As the saying goes, “all work and no play make Jack a dull boy”. At present, many universities give much more money to their libraries than their students’ sports activities. Take my university as an example, our library has many advanced facilities, and books, magazines and some other resources are abundant. Last year, our library even purchased some ipads and electronic books. However, our playgrounds are in poor condition. Too many students are crowded in a small place to play basketball and some sport facilities are broken without repaired. Therefore, many students prefer to read books rather than play sport games in the playground. The result of this phenomenon is that some students are in poor health. They often get cold and become overweight. Even a few of them are sick because of longtime work without rest. Thus, universities should give the same financial aid for libraries and sport activities.

Moreover, sport activities can improve the students’ spirit of team work and attitude of life. Sports are always not individuals’ games. Sports often need several people to involve in. For instance, football is one of the most popular games in our university. To win the game, every player should collaborate with each other. In addition, they may learn more about the meaning about life. We always say that friendship first and competition second. From the game, no matter whether lose or win, we should remember we have tried our best, and that’s enough. Thus, giving more money for sport activities can make students think more about their life.

The last but not the least, sport activities is important for university’s reputation. As we all know, a perfect athlete can make the university more popular. Many students may think, “My favorite super star is in this university, so I want to attend this university to be close with him. Therefore, universities with more sport financial support can attract more students to enroll.

To sum up, as far as I concern, it is beneficial without doubt that universities give equal financial support for their libraries and their students’ sport activities. Meanwhile, their students’ health and life will improve too.

In this lecture, the professor disagrees with what is stated in the reading passage. He believes that a four-day workweek won’t affect both company and individuals in the way said in the reading passage.
The first reason the professor cast doubt on the reading passage is that a shortened workweek will force companies to spend more money. Although it is true that more stuff will reduce overworked and error-prone with the same payments, the professor thinks that hiring more employees will increase the cost of training and medical benefits. In addition, more employees mean more additional cost such as office space and computers which will cut into the companies’ benefit.
Secondly, on the contrary of the reading passage, the professor claims that a four-day workweek makes employers choose to ask their employees work over time to make up the different. In his opinion, employers start to expect their stuff to work more time and to do five days job in four days. In this way, this four-day workweek plan not only cannot provide more job opportunities but also increase job unpleasant.
Thirdly, in this lecture, the professor holds the idea that shortened workweek will be at risk of decreasing job ability and do harm to advance the employees’ careers so that won’t improve their happiness of life. This is totally different from what the passage says. From his point of view, those who choose four-day workweek will be the first to lose their jobs during economy recession. Besides, they will miss chance for promotion, because employers prefer five-day workers in management position for supervision.
To sum up, the professor goes against what presented in the reading passage. He supports the opinion that four- day workweek is not a good choice.

Always telling truth is the most important consideration in any relationship between people.
Use specific reason and examples to support your answer.
   When asked whether it is important for people always telling truth or not, different people have different opinion. From my point of view, it is difficult to generalize whether always telling truth is good or bad. As we know, “every coin has two sides”. To some extent, always telling truth is a pretty good quality that every people who want to be friendly with others should possess. However, in some situation, it may not a good idea to tell truth.
  On one hand, real relationship establishes on every people in it being sincere with each other. It seems that no one wants to be friends with someone who always tell lies. If a person don’t be treat his or her friends honestly, he or she will lose all the friends and everyone will no longer trust him or her. Take myself as an example. When I was in high school, a classmate of mine often lied to others. He borrowed money from his friends and other students in my classroom including me. But he never turned money back to others and told them he would return money tomorrow. Finally, he lost credit with all the classmates and everyone in my class kept away from him. Therefore, to some degree, always telling truth is the most important thing to get others’ credit and to make friends with others.
One the other hand, telling truth about everything may hurt other people’s feeling. In some circumstance, we may tell lies or maybe tell partial truth just because we don’t want to make our friends or families feel depressed or collapse. For instance, when I was in middle school, I was not good at math. I often got poor scores no matter how hard I worked. So I was scared about parents’ meeting in school because I knew my teacher might talk about my poor math with my parents. However, every time after parents’ meeting, my parents told me that my teacher said I had made a strikingly improvement and encourage me to keep working hard. Then I was inspired and spent more time to struggle my math and became one of the most excellent students in my class. After a few years, my father told me that my teacher didn’t speak highly of me that time, he told a lie because he doesn’t want me to lose heart. So I called this lie as a friendly lie. Hence, in some situation, a friendly lie may make others feel better and do some difference.
To sum up, whether always telling truth is the most importance thing in relationship or not depends on the circumstance of the lie. What’s more, as far as I concerned, we tell truth to be sincere with others, while we not, to do not hurt others’ feeling.

It is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends.
Use specific reasons and examples to support you answer.
Friendship is one of the most important things in our life. We are willing to make friends with people who have some same interests or hobbies with ourselves. We enjoy share happiness and sorrow with them. From my point of view, I don’t think it is wise to keep old friends but not to make new friends.
  To begin with, there is no doubt that we can’t be with some same friends all through our life. We should meet farewell in our lifetime, and we will never meet some friends again for some reasons. We can’t keep in touch with all the olds friends. Therefore, we need new friends. Take myself as an example. I attended university after graduated from high school. However, all of my high school friends didn’t choose the same university with me. We are in different province. Because of distance, we can’t get in touch with each other frequently. So when I suffer some troubles or experience some wonderful things, I don’t share with them. Because I think they may not understand my situation or my thought. Hence, we cannot always rely on old friends.
Furthermore, if we always live with our old fiends, our life may become humdrum and our thoughts may become insular. Every individual has his own ideology and different with others. And fiends of him will know his ideology so that they may absorb his thoughts more or less.  However, we need experience some fantasy experience and receive some different ideas about life. Thus, we should make more friends in our limited life.
The last but not the least, we can learn some merits from our new friends to improve ourselves. As a Chinese saying goes, “there must be a teacher when be with three people.” Indeed, friends may teach us a lot of things about solving problems or how to go though difficulties in life. If we make more new friends, we will obtain more knowledge about life. For instance, I met a girl when I travel by train. She told me some interesting experience about her travel. And she said that she had traveled most parts of China and sometimes got in trouble. However, she never stopped travel. She believed that travel is an easier way to know what the meaning about life is. Then I made friends with her and learn many necessary things about travel and started my own journey. Therefore, making new friends is important for learning new ideas and novel things.
To sum up, as far as I concerned, making new friends is more important than keep old friends. After all, more friends are better than fewer in our life.

People today spend too much time on personal enjoyment- doing things they like to do – rather than doing things they should do.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
An increasingly number of people begin to realize that doing what they like is more important than doing things they have to. Truly, this is a pretty good phenomenon I’d really love to see. Even though there are some dispute about spending too much time on personal enjoyment, I think highly of those people who find their interests and chasing them without hesitation.
To begin with, only we do things we like can we do it better. People may feel boring and lose patient when they always do things they don’t like. In the end, they just finish the job perfunctorily. On the contrary, if they can do their personal enjoyment, they will never lose their passion with it. Take career chosen as an example. Two students graduated from university and are faced with problems of choosing jobs. One student choose a job he like, while the other choose a job which can earn more money. Then the former spend all daytime doing his work wholeheartedly because of interests, however, the latter just finish his work he should do because of earning money. What surprised is that the former student’s salary is more than the latter one after 3 years. The reason why the former student get more money is that his hard work and doing excellent make him get promotion. Thus, people indeed should spend time on personal enjoyment.
Furthermore, we only have one life, so we should live for our happiness. Sometimes, our choices depends on people who surrounding us, such as our parents or friends. To avoid those people disappointing, we have to do some things that they tell us, but to some extent we actually don’t want to. Nevertheless, when meet a turning point of our own life, we can’t compromise with others. If we follow others’ opinion, we may not find happiness in our life and lose many wonderful things. Thus, we should make choices in our own life and spend more time on enjoying what we really willing to.
The last but not the least, doing what we like is not that we don’t do what we should do. As for me, I don’t think there are some definitely differences between what we enjoy doing and what we should do. To some degree, we really enjoy some things we should do and what we do is our enjoyment. For instance, we should get a job in our life, no matter what is it. And that’s the thing that we spend nearly all our life chasing for. I know that many old men in IBM Company are unwilling to retire even in their seventies. Because they treat their work as target of life, and are enthusiastic about it. Therefore, spending time on personal enjoyment is important and meaningful.
