With the development of societies, the ways of people to reach their success are becoming more and more diversification, and the view regarding entering university as the unique access to personal success has been eliminated. Thus, a question comes to us naturally, that is what the specific reason of someone attending his or her college or university is on earth. When faced with the question, quite a few would deem that their purpose entering a college or university is to get new experience and career preparation; but others, in contrast, believe study life in college or university is purely to increase his or her specialty knowledge. The answer of this question relies on our own experience and life style. In my point view, attending a college or university is to learn to set up a thinking formula of oneself, besides on study, judgement and thinking itself etc. There are three conspicuous reasons as follows.

The main reason for my answer on this question is that, the life in college or university is a transferring period for young people, before which they are rarely demanded to take many responsibilities no matter for themselves or their social characteristics, but after which they will eventually become a part in social life, so, they have to learn the considerable skills about judgement, thinking and cooperating with others. I have an appropriate example about myself on this question. During the first month when I come to my university, a big problem I met with is that I found there are “much more powerful competitions” in my class than during my middle school. Frankly to say, I am a little nervous at that time, and no any idea how to adjust my ideas and how to play a role in the class. But through my observation and corporation with others, I have got my rule how to “survive” and play a role in a group full of competitions, which helps me a lot even today in my career. Therefore, I have been considering the university life as practices of mine before enter real social competitions.

Another importance of attending college is that through the life in college or university, young people can get many chances leading to diversities of lives, and they will realize various of possibilities for them to achieve their aims, in the manners of get in touch with a partner of their schools or in the student leagues they join. Anyway, school life will widen their views in life.

Furthermore, the third and the most import reason I give why attending college or university is that, as students, young people must go on their school work according to their expectation about themselves or their appetite to different majors. In college or university, young people can hold at least three advantages to study which besides teachers, information and partners conveniently in most time. They may go to the school library to learn what they have interests in, and if they meet with any difficulty or confusion during study, they can go to tutors for help or to classmates for discussion. On contrary, if they are off campus, they will probably lose the valuable resources.

In short, I acknowledge that the roads to success are various, and I also acknowledge that some big man achieve their big aims not in the way from school to society, however, I still insist that attending college or university is a good way for young persons to grow up and in campus, and they can get a lot from those few years and get many true friends who may probably accompany with them for a life.
