大家好,我是菜鸟,这是2战第一篇文章,纠结了很久,求狠批!
6.23独立写作
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement. People who cannot accept the criticism from others will not be successful at working in a group.

When it refers to whether people could achieve success in a group if they cannot accept criticisms from others. People's opinions are divergent on such a controversial issue. Many people argue that people are not necessary to accept these criticisms since they are just subjective viewpoints of others. Nevertheless, taking every aspect into consideration, I strongly believe that accepting others’ criticisms is essential for a person's success in a group for the following aspects.

First of all, by modestly listening to others' criticisms people can make a good first impression in a group which facilitates their work. According to a recent survey conducted by the National Bureau of the Statistics, 82 percent of people are more willing to help or cooperate with modest people. For example, my uncle, a new member of the Research and Development Center of IBM, can easily get help from his colleagues because he always accepts their criticisms with an open mind. Quickly he becomes familiar with his job and takes the first step towards success.

Not only does accepting others' criticisms help people make a good first impression, it also contributes to self-improvement-an important element for a person's long-term success in a group. No one is perfect and others can point out his/her shortcomings. If he/she can accept and correct these defects he/she will achieve a better performance. Moreover, only by endlessly improving himself/herself one can compete with others and keep a long-term success in a group. Take the headmaster of my university as an example. He always owes his successful leading of the university to the criticism from students and teachers.

Admittedly, most criticisms are others' subjective perspectives which might not be completely right. For instance, your new colleague may mistake you for a selfish person without getting a better known about you and your boss may criticize you just because he/she is in bad mood. However, accepting their criticisms does not mean that you have to do exactly as what they said. It is indisputable that modestly accepting the criticism from others has more valuable merits as a way for getting along with others and self-improvement. I therefore reinforce my standpoint that people will not be successful at working in a group unless they accept the criticism from others.
