The speaker stand the viewpoint that ethanol will actually be good to be an alternative to gasoline by providing 3 reasons to against the reading passage, which suggests it is not a ideal replacement.
To begin with, regarding the concers concerns in the reading passage that the use of ethanol will definitely produce the greenhouse gas to affect the global warming, the speaker defend that ethanol, made from corn, will absorb the carbon dioxide during its growing process. This undoutedly undoubtedly removes the greenhouse gas from the atmosphere and helps to solve the concern.
Furthermore, the speaker contends that as the production of ethnol will offer a kind of chemical that will prevent the animal from eating them. In consequence, the planting of ethanol brings no impact to the available food for animals for they simply don't eat it.
Lastly, the speaker points out that in the price of the ethanol will not increase due to the government's tax policy, for once the production of the ethanol increases, it will result in the drop of ethanol price. This probably will make more ethanol available.
