I looked at your resume and it is very strong. I'd like to be your advisor.
Our program is competitive, but I am confident you will be accepted with
department funding/scholarship.
I would be on sabbatical leave next year (Starting july 2013, for 1 year),
but I will continue working with my students, and during the first year you
can take the required 4 classes, so you have more time to focus on research
in the second year. If you perform exceptionally well, it is possible to get
upgraded into the PhD program after the end of the 1st year.
