Do you agree: Famous entertainers and athletes deserve to have more privacy than they have now
Nowadays the mass media, the TV, radio, newspapers, Internet, are filled with all kinds of private news about famous entertainers and athletes. For example, who are they dating, what they eat, where are they heading, what they eat, etc. To those of us who are fans of those famous entertainers or athletes, it is a good way to know more about our idols. Yet, it may make the famous entertainers and athletes annoyed. Thus, I agree that famous entertainers and athletes deserve to have more privacy than they have now.
With the privacy being exposed to the mass media, the famous entertainers’ normal daily life would be negatively affected. For example, now most of the movie stars or singers would wear the big dark glasses and hat because reporters would go after them and take pictures of them and then put in the mass media. These bring them so much inconvenience. They can’t go shopping as normal people. They have to pay great attention to what they dress, because if they do not dress beautifully, lots of people would make fun of them. A few days ago, when Wangfei, a famous Chinese singer, wear a dress which most of the people think like a quilt, was teased violently. And Wangfei’s mood is apparently affected. From some point of view, famous entertainers and athletes are normal people, like most of us, they need to go out to buy things, they need to chat with friends, and they deserve all of these.
Also, having privacy is a necessary to protect those who the famous entertainers and athletes love. Some of fans would love their idols so much that they can’t tolerate the fact that their idols fall in love with or marry someone. Sometimes, they even plan to do harm to the one who their idols love. For example, when Justin Bieber , a famous singer, was found to be falling in love with Selina, most of his fans claim that they want to kill Selina. And Selina received many threat calls too. Those cases are not rare. So I think the entertainers and athletes have the right to keep more privacy. We should stop finding their privacy like today we do. And sometimes it is even a necessary way to protect their families.
Moreover, some entertainers or athletes may suffer a lot because of not having enough privacy. Zhang guorong, a famous singer, was a gay. When his sexual orientation was exposed the mass, people who can’t accept a gay humiliate him a lot. Zhang Guorong who can’t be understood by the world, was extremely upset and chose to commit suicide. This is a great loss. There are lots of entertainment stars who suffer from privacy being exposed. Sometimes it may even negatively affect the quality of their work.
In a word, I believed that famous entertainers and athletes should have more privacy than they have today. They will definitely benefit a lot from this and thus come up with more qualified works which we should concern most.
