虽然去年暑假去nus参加一个项目(非学术)，但是确实是很偶然才申请的新加坡，所以直到被录取(去年9月初就收到应该是副系主任发的录取通知，只是拖到现在才给正式的录取通知)还不了解多少关于博士生项目以及nus教育方面的情况。在坛子上问过几点疑问，得到了热心的解答，后来又跟新加坡的学长聊过，受益匪浅。所以现在来回报社会来啦~希望提供的信息对之后申请的同学有点帮助。背景就不说了，因为觉得没有普遍的参考性。我把详细的录取信息贴在下面吧，感觉还是有点信息量的，尤其是对我这种后知后觉的人来说。比如我之前只问了是不是第一学期就可以考QE，不知道还规定要在前两年考完，我原本也不知道博士生最多读五年，听学长说一般需要读五年，还感觉和国内一样太过漫长，现在安心多了，至少不会动不动就读个七八年~

OFFER OF ADMISSION(SEMESTER 1,AY2013/2014))

Congratulations!I am pleased to inform you that you have been offered provisional admission as a full-time candidate to our Doctor of Philosophy(PhD) program in the Department of Mathematics,subject to configuration that you have obtained Bachelor's degree.

Period of candidature
Your candidature will commence from the first day of Semester 1 of Academic Year 2013/2014on 5 August 2013,OR date of your enrolment whichever is later. The minimum and maximum period of the candidature for PhD is two and five years respectively.

Award of scholarship
You have been awarded the NUS Research Scholarship with a nett stipend of S$2,000.00 per months.The scholarship includes also aa full research fee subsidy,which is in the form of credit towwards your fee bill when the fee is due. The scholarship is tenable for 1 year in the first instance and is renewable annually subject to

Research Topic and Supervisor(s)
The topic of your research and proposed supervisor(s) will be decided later.

Qualifying Examinations
PhD candidates must pass the Qualifying Examination(QE) within 24 months after registration of candidature.If they fail the QE or choose not to take the QE,they will be converted to MSc progrmm(by research)or their PhD candidature will be terminated.

Full Offer package
The full offer package will be mailed to you in April 2013 if you choose to accept our offer.Please complete and return the attached reply form by 28 February 2013.
