教授基本上定下要我了，读PHD
但是我只考了Toefl（613，4.5）,没有考GRE
会不会在这上面被刷下来？

兄弟,教授没有决定权利的
要committe决定
你要想清楚,他们教授说话很多时候是很模糊的,

是一个与我有点血缘关系的人向那个教授推荐我的
之前我就没有套过磁
那个教授主动给我发信的
内容如下，DX们看我是不是有机会啊？

I am interested in your academic background and hope you could get a chance  
of joining my team in near future.
However, application for scholarship in Nanyang Technological Univ (NTU) sho
uld be done on-line by yourself. Please read the attached file for the instr
uctions. In the blanks for research interests and contact person, you can na
me me using following information about my research fields.
I wish your application successful. Remember that once you apply for the sch
olarship in NTU through me, I do not hope that you apply for scholarship any
where else. If you are awarded the NTU scholarship, you should promise me to
take the offer and join my team as soon as you can.
If you have any enquiries, you may contact me through this email directly. I
would be glad if you let me know the progress of your on-line application (
you can check it on-line).

Congratulations first!
But I have to say something. It is acknowlegded that the professor wana you  
to be his or her future student. it is pretty impressive that he can wrote y
ou this letter. But in fact, the professor in NTU has nearly no right to dec
ide the enroll.you see, they do not confirm and tell it very confidently tha
t you can success. It is because the scholarship is from the national fundin
gs. Not the funding that the professor has.
I met many friends who have the same letters. Some even be invited to home f
or dinner if he can come to Singapore. But after all, the professor has no r
ight. May be he is in the committe, but he can only give you one hand and on
e poll.
If you are very intrigued in his program, why not tell him that I am sure I  
will be with you and do not apply for any other universities or any other pr
ograms in case you can confirm that I can be enrolled with full assistance.A
fterall, I think you have a resonable chance to get it.
Plese be advised and never put all eggs into one basket. It is the my sugges
tion.

It is very kind of you to give me so many valueble information.
I have written Email to that professor that I DO join his team if I got scho
larship.
But I am now not sure about my GPA and GRE score.
You see,my GPA is only a few mor than 3.0 in 4.0改进标准算法(^_^can't write  
down in Eng),and I have not taken the GRE test.
I wonder if I could get this oppornity to study in Singapore.
some other information:I am a bachelor of major BME in XJTU,and have not any
paper,but only a award of the national undergraduate circuit contest in my  
province.
BTW:thank you very much for your advice,I already have a job offer from a Fo
rtune 500 Co:),so I will take it esay if I lose
