Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Professional athletes,such as football and basketball players,do not deserve the high salaries that they are paid.

It is commonly believed that sports exert a profound impact on people today. Not only does it show the competition between players,but as well it do good to people’s health.However,the issue of whether it is worthy for professional athletes to receive the high salaries.As for me,I totally disagree with this.Here are the reasons that support my idea.
At the very beginning,take basketball players for instance, a number of talented players are active in this field. Such as Kobe Brant,Tracy McGrady,who are the super stars in NBA. They devote themselves into the game every time they are on the ground. As a matter of fact,honored by the fans all over the world,they deserve to own the high salaries.Hence,it is salient that there are still plenty of athletes that can have such a salary without doubt.
Further more,professional athletes need to do a lot of things. Meanwhile, it is difficult for them to do the job well. For one thing,occupied with training,athletes hardly have time to relax themselves.Supposing they do not work hard,it is visible that they would be caught up by others. As is known to us all,the competition between players in one team is obvious.Thus athletes are under heavy burden. What is worse,they always worry about getting hurt during the training.Severe hurt may render the athlete to give up the whole career.Another reason that the time of career an athlete have is often very short.That is to say,they rarely have much time to earn money for a long time.And after retirement,athletes usually afflicted with ache.
Last but not least,sports like football and basketball have a large market all over the world.People pay a large amount of money to see the games every year.Take the basketball for example,it is popular among the world.According to a recent coverage in China Daily,the number of people who watch NBA is increasing rapidly as time goes by.As a result,the NBA earn a lot of money every year.What’s more,money from selling tickets is large enough to pay the athletes’ high salaries.
Taking all the reasons into consideration,a conclusion may be drawn that professional athletes are deserve the high salaries they are paid.From my own perspective,it is visible that most athletes are good enough to have high salaries.They deserve it because of their hardworking and heavy pressure they have.
