正确答案是D，不过C这么看似乎都没错..求解

另外C选项的social change似乎在文章中都没怎么强调

个人觉得这句话 "... utopian socialism— which was already popularizing feminist ideas in Europe during the two decades that culminated ..." 里的 that culminated... 是修饰 feminist ideas 的. 也就是说, was popularizing 是在说 utopian socialism, 而 culminated 是在说 feminist idea.
首先, 如果这两个动词都是修饰 utopian socialism 的话, 第二个连接词不对, 应该用 and.
其次, utopian socialism 的 culmination 应该不是在 first women‘s rights conference 吧, 这个最多只能作为 feminist idea or activity 的 culmination.
拙见一二.

同楼上，culminated是在从句中修饰feminist ideas的，很不容易看出来 。
这是老G的一篇长文章改编的，我在吴中东的那本书做过，现在找不出来了，当时也选错了。貌似这段挺靠前的，soical change后面可以看出来吧，记不太清了~这也许就是36套改编题的一点瑕疵吧~
