"Technology creates more problems than it solves, and may threaten or damage the quality of life."


With the development of science and technology, people are living in a better world now. New technologies emerges in endlessly everyday, which makes our life more convenient and comfortable. Albeit there are many problems coming with new technologies, I still think that technology solves more problems than it creates.

    First of all, technology makes great contributions in every aspect of life. In the fields of education, public transportation, communication, food, entertainment and so on we can easily see the advantageous affect of technology. Because of Internet, people are able to study at home, asking teachers questions about what they are learning and handing up their homework by email. In public transportation, new fast jet-planes make frequent travels in the world possible. New clean cars have more power but fewer gases harmful to environment. Also, people today are easier to communicate with others. Mobile phone, satellite phone are able to send your voices to others and MSN, AIM, ICQ can let you "chat" with your friends online. Besides, not just in daily lives, technology makes us better know the world and construct it.

    Without these contributions of technology, people have to go back to primitive society and suffer more serious problems. For example, before the discovery of penicillin, many diseases caused by microorganism are fatal to people. One is doomed to die when he catches smallpox, ague, even flu. Moreover, in last several centuries, people are less communicable due to the lack of efficient communication method. They have to write mails or later can send a telegram. But it is much less convenient than emails and telephones. In a word, people living in the new century cannot live without technology.

    However, there are indeed some problems created by new technologies such as environment problems, life ethic problems, transgenetic food, Internet crimes, nuclear weapons, and so on. But these are just temporary problems coming with some immature technologies. And people are trying hard to solve them. With the mature of these technologies, these problems will disappear and maybe other problems appear. The development of human society is the process from looking for problems to advancement. It is ridiculous for us to be stopped by these temporary problems.

In sum, technology has both its advantageous side and disadvantageous side. When facing these harmful aspects, we have to make efforts to solve them. Any fear to technology is unnecessary. After settling these problems, we will enjoy our world constructed by new technologies.

问题和你的第一篇差不多，就是语言句子还显稚嫩些，特别是中长句子，复句的运用不规范、不标准，这样让人觉得是用你的英语思路组织语句而不不是按照标准的英语模式来。还是建议你一开始慢慢来，边借鉴边写，甚至可以抄背一些范文里的好句子、好例子，等写到7、8篇左右（具体情况看你的）就应该会纠正过来这种蒙着头一口气地往下写的不好习惯。
