求问答案为什么是E，文章并没有提到任何关于new information的信息呀。只说了如果修复乐器，研究者会失去所有关于18世纪乐器制造技艺的信息，这样的话应该是选C的呀？

Gap: 不维修，不弹奏就不能知道制造技术了吗（完全可以研究结构啊什么的）

E就是弥补了这个Gap。

C就算有其他信息来源，但是和结论“从该乐器”得知无关。

我觉得是这样的

弹奏18世纪的乐器提供18世纪音乐的宝贵信息。18世纪的乐器必须要被修复才能弹，但是修复了会破坏所有关于18世纪乐器制造技艺的信息。

修复 --->  破坏所有关于制造乐器技术信息，因此这个乐器是instrument-making technique的唯一来源（有all嘛）

这个题的问题没有问gap，只是说基于以上信息下面哪些正确，我还是对E项的new information耿耿于怀

你对第一个conditional reasoning取逆否命题，
变成了
restore instrument ---------> instrument can be played

于是这个reasoning变成了

restore instrument -----> instrument can be played

and

restore instrument ------> information gets destroyed.

我倾向于选A

original techniques 和 new information都措辞欠妥当。

另外C是明显不对的。only这个词在原文里找不到支持。

哪里来的gap？
这都不是argument。。。
只有illogical argument才有gap

A不对啊，说的是playing technique，而原文没有提到关于乐器和弹奏技巧的关系。

不过我也觉得E里面new information用的不好

A和D同理都涉及到了文章逻辑中没有出现过的信息。

B和C都包含有太过于绝对的态度。

相对来说，我觉得E在5个选项中稍微靠谱些，虽然任显得有些牵强。

如果非要找个理由说它对，只能说研究是一个过程，而题目中提到的destroy all of the information包含了所有信息....

啊啊啊~看错了，居然还有这类题，我习惯性地看成assumption的题了。

但是原文中说“all of the information”，那all不就包括new or old，whatever information 了吗？所以E为什么错了？
