What is the result of encouraging young people to believe they can accomplish great things if they try hard enough? According to the speaker, it is both misleading and potentially harmful. However, after my closer analysis, I find she unfairly concludes the effect of encouraging. Thus, I do not agree with her wholly and I support encouraging young people to believe they can accomplish does more good than harm to them. (support 改为think 即可,语法错误)There are numerous reasons, which can bolster my standpoint, and I would like to choose some of them to emphasize here.()
To begin with, encouraging young people to believe this conception will motivate them and contribute to their final success more often than not. As we can remember clearly, we used to accept encouraging from parents and teachers when we failed in our exams. Encouraging not only could make us more confidant, it can also give us sprit support. Take an example for instance. Edison, one of outstanding scientists from the Unites States, usually got encouragement from his mother, especially when he faced with various divisions from his teachers just because he seemed stupid and could not finish his homework by himself. From seeking his process in scientific field, we are informed that Edison's success partly from his mother's encouragement, which was directly linked to a firm motivation and gave him a warranted spiritual support. In this case, encouraging young people, would contributes more than not to their ultimate success.
However, nobody could doubt that not all the trying hard results in success. Moreover, we had better to let young people be aware of this rule. Naturally, one's ultimate success is due to several factors and elements, such as chance, social environment and so forth. Assuming a little boy, who was born in a poor family in one of poorest developing countries, has a common even has a superior intelligence. It is equally impossible, for example, he would still be poor throughout his life even if he tries his best and work harder than any one in his country, because lack of essential factors leading to personal success. Just like a seed wants to grow into sturdy and tall tree, needing nutrition like sunshine, water, powder, youth dreaming to accomplish, relies on some prerequisites. For this matter, we have the responsibility to tell the boy truth trying hard not always guides him the path to success.
Finally, it is confessed that young people will make progress through doing their best. Let us turn to the little boy we has discussed above. (has 改为have)Admittedly, he might never accomplish great things his peer from the some background but coming from a developed country. However, the boy still has more chances to become a useful people to serve for his hometown, if he can seek rule from encouragement and motivation we bring him and tries his best from then. On the contrary, he would never harvest anything without trying his best. In short, we can draw the conclusion from this lesson, we should encourage young people and give them support than not.(这和第一段论证是不是重复了,我觉得,不如把这一段放在第一段论证后面,换其他论证方式,比如反证等,你认为呢?)
In summary, encouraging young people to believe that they can accomplish great things more good than harm to them, even some of them might finally get frustrated. I would like to end up my issue with a proverb from one of Chinese distinguished philosopher, YanFu, saying,” Encouragement and praise could be the nutritional soil for seeds of success."(结论如果能概括总结自己为什么反对观点的分论点会不会更好)-
ISSUE 236 ENCOURAGING YOUTH TO BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN ACCOMPISH GREAT THINGS IF THEY TRY HARD ENOUGH IS BOTH MISLEADING AND POTENTIALLY HARMFUL
