11"All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems."
In the modern world, we are faced by many global problems,(用主动语态好像更好一点) such as the environmental problems, the crisis of energy, the wars(没有必要价这么多的the) between nations and so on. To solve these problems, all countries should cooperate with one another. Under such conditions, some one suggests: " All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems." (不能用自己的话把他说出来吗?直接引用好不好啊)After considering this statement carefully, I think it has(改成is) a good inclination, but is hard to be applied.
Before I could agree with above statement, I want to ask a question: " What is the definite purpose of that international university?" Some people may say that it is to provide an environment to let people from different natiions(nation) to know one another, understand one another, cooperate with one another (recognize, understand and cooperate with one another)and finally contribute to the solving of (去掉也罢)the global social problems. This answer is meaningful, but when in practice, we should pay attention to several questions. First, we need to carefully build a peaceful circumstance for the students. When students with different culture live together, they will invitably(inevitably,说实话,有一点绝对了,把will换成would会不会好一点) have some conflicts. For eample, when two students who have different religions (不合适)talk something about their beliefs, the quarrel will easily emerge.(有一点绝对化了,我有两个朋友一个是伊斯兰教的一个是信耶稣的,关系很好诶, 这个地方还是有情态动词多一点好) The teachers and proctors of the university should soothe the students with correct methods,(sooth的是confilct,不是students) and induct them into a mutual understanding. If the teachers fail to do so, the quarrels will, in the worst condition, lead to a war between(the) two students' country(countries). Second, the students should be treat(treated) equally. In many place in our world, the rich and the poor are not equal. If the teacher has a preconception of the rich, the poor sutdent (student)will feel hurt and hate the rich in some sense, which obviously does not contribute to the purpose of the university.

论据给的有一点绝对了,换个例子好了
Another possible purpose of the university is to directly educate the students to become resolvers to those social problems. This one is harder to be reached. For one thing, what curriculum should the students learn? Unlike other subjects such as physics, biology, or chemistry, there is no one mature subject for solving the global problems. One apparent reason is that there are many global social problems, from environmental problems to the crisis of enery (energy)and from wars between nations to the inequity in economic (economic inequity)trading between developed country and developing country. Maybe we can solve it(them) by divide(dividing) those problems into different subjects, but even so, there is still lots of uncertainties. For instance, who can tell me what lessons should be taught to teach a student to stop the wars between two nations?(文学和艺术,历史) For another, the knowledge and the talent of a student are not sufficient to solve the social problems. Many problems are directly relative to the policy of the government. Therefore, only after the student becomes an important member of the government or he or she has very a strong in fluence on the govenment or the society, does the student has the opportunity to solve the global problems. If the students finally just grow into an ordinary person, which is the most cases, the students can only do little to the society. I can not deny that if the majority people of the world have a correct knowledge about the global problems, they will be a strong power to solve the problems, but this task seems too big for only one university.
论点2. 学校不能提供给学生适合的课程
这一段不是很好,因为1.在历史和艺术及政治上多加指导,的确可以改变人的思想,2.后一部分想说明的问题是说即使学校提供这样的课程,学生的素质是否能适应这样的课程及是否日后能担当起解决争端的重任还是一个问题。这个部分不能说服我,因为如果真的建立起这样的大学,所进去的学生就是为了解决纷争而来的,所以说素质应该不差。即便将来人家不能当国家领导,也会为了解决这些问题而奔走。
All in all, although I am not a pessimist, I do have many doubts in constructing an international university to solve the global problems. This idea may come true, but it will happen afet many year. As many global problems become more and more urgent, I think other method, such as holding some international conference on the specific problems, is more pragmatic.
结尾,不应该建立这样的学校,与其如此,还不如开个全球性会议来的实际

1.在作文中,最好不要用绝对的语态,像什么will,inevitably,因为所有的事情都有可能发生的,情态动词多用用得好。
2.是不是限时作文阿,拼错了好些个单词,the的用法还是不对呢,你好像是中了它的魔啦
3.论点找的不是太好,说服力不强呢
4.是不是argument练了不少了?好多的让步和转折阿,逮住一点猛轰,嘿嘿
要是我来写得话
论点1 建立这样的大学有一定的意义,因为的确全球性问题需要从学生入手,把学生们聚集起来,互相了解是一个好办法。而且这样的学校设置的课程放之四海而皆准,不会因为不同的国家有不同的条例,从而影响到学生的认识不同。(正面论述)
论点2 但是建立这样的大学在目前为止还有一定的难度。因为各个国家的国情不同,宗教信仰不同,贫富会有差异(你的论点)而且在课程设置上需要多加考虑。(反面)
论点3 其实要解决全球性的问题并不需要各个国家一起建立一所大学,因为教育的目的在于学生素质的提高,形成自己的世界观,只要各个国家提高对全球性问题的认识,不论在任何角落教育都可以达成同样的目标。(还是反面)
这个题目的例子好像不是太好找, 能不能将某个问题拉出来,比如说环境压力, 各个国家的污染情况不同,所采取的措施也不同,将新加坡和中国做对比,合适吗?
