44.Government should not fund any scientific research whose consequences, either medical or ethical, are unclear.
这是我的第一篇issue, 用时一个半小时,又用了15分钟修改了一下。
希望大家都来拍砖,狠狠的拍,越使劲越好!!

The speaker contends that government should not spend money on any scientific research with unclear consequences.I disagree with this contention. In my opinion, government should fund those researches because sooner or later investment in scientific research will do good to the human beings.

It is commonly accepted that scientific progress always acts as the great inpelling force from ancient tribe to modern society.Nearly every progress has propelled the productivity to a high level. For examples, the geometry was invented when the ancient Egyptians tended to devide their lands and it contributed to the prosperity of the ancient Egypt;the engine was created to generate tremendous work forces and it directly resulted in the Industrial Revolution;in the modern world, scientists invented computers which  appear in most fields of our lives and lead to a age of information.I think everyone will agree that the scientific progress changes human's living patterns and provide lives of good qualities.Without these progress ,we cannot come to such highly-developed civilization. In short, scientific progress is always a dynamic force to develop the society.

Admittedly, the consequences of the research may result in controversy.Cloning is a good example of this.On the one hand, cloning can greatly benefit the human. Its application in organ transportation has gained immense success:the patients will not worry about the sourses of the organs which used to be very scarce because the doctor can create the organs needed to plant in the patients by the help of cloning. Moreover, cloning is very helpful for the scientists who are seeking the substitute for the resources in short. On the other hand, however, cloning will not only threaten the normal ethical and moral relations between people, but also may create perfect people which will result in racial discriminations. So,some researches do have unclear consequences.

Nevertheless, government shoule keep optimistic about the scientific research just like what the human have  done before. For example, the discovery of nuclear energe aroused heated debate:some people was facinated in the great amount of energy and dreamed to apply it to the power station while others worried about the tremendous power of the nuclear weapons and opposed  the research.Governments just continued to fund the research.Admittedly, there are the threats of the nuclear weapons in the modern world. But,the nuclear power stations ,which do little harm to the environment comparing to other forms of power station, have generated unbelievable amount of power. The nuclear energy benefits the human a lot.The government should be confident that human is able to control the consequences of the researches.

To sum up,scientific researches with unclear consequences should be supported by the government. The progress will lead to the acceleration of the world's development. The government should have confidence of the power to overcome the sideffect of the progress and cotrol them to benefit the human.

The speaker contends that government should not spend money on any scientific research with unclear consequences.I disagree with this contention. In my opinion, government should fund those researches because sooner or later investment in scientific research will do good to the human beings.

It is commonly accepted that scientific progress always acts as the great inpelling(impelling) force from ancient tribe to modern society.Nearly every progress has propelled the productivity to a high level.

Its application in organ transportation(transplant) has gained immense success:the patients will not worry about the sourses(sources) of the organs which used to be very scarce because the doctor can create the organs needed to plant in the patients by the help of cloning. Moreover, cloning is very helpful for the scientists who are seeking the substitute for the resources in short. On the other hand, however(on the other hand 和however都表示转折,用一个就够了),cloning will not only threaten the normal ethical and moral relations between people, but also may create perfect people which will result in racial discriminations.

感觉这一段和上面一段可以合并一下,可以先说,admittedly 很多研究是有争议的,然而政府对它的态度如何如何.

To sum up,scientific researches with unclear consequences should be supported by the government.(这里有点绝对,最好用点程度副词来形容一下)The progress will lead to the acceleration of the world's development. The government should have confidence of the power to overcome the sideffect of the progress and cotrol(control) them to benefit the human.

Valentiner!:)
等。。。。。。。。。
