大家为什么都选统计？

如果去香港、新加坡，强烈建议选择Financial Engineering或者Quantitative Finance，这两个专业新加坡国立都有。就业基本无忧，尤其是在本地工作，就业薪酬比统计不是一般的高啊。金工很喜欢理工科的学生，未来工作的形式也是多样的，可以选择前台，那就跟人打交道多一些咯；可以选择后台，那就建模编码多一些咯。以后怎么选择，那就全看自己的能力和喜好了。

你指的是读master还是phd 听说香港那里授课型的msc很水的都找不到工作又是怎么回事

because it looks easy... but if you want to stand out in the grad programs in US, you need to have an above-average math background and computing skills.

In order to land a job here, you also need to have good bullshit skills and social skills.

btw, most Chinese students don't have good social skills to survive the finance industry in US. On the contrary, Statistics is pretty much dominated by Chinese in academia. it looks easier but you are essentially competing with other Chinese students.

To sum up, not as easy as computer science if you are considering staying in US in the long run.

but hey, nothing is easy.

能不能找到好的工作最后还得看个人能力，就业机会是很多的。水这个概念。。。得看怎么定义喽
