In order to land a job here, you also need to have good bullshit skills and social skills.
btw, most Chinese students don't have good social skills to survive the finance industry in US. On the contrary, Statistics is pretty much dominated by Chinese in academia. it looks easier but you are essentially competing with other Chinese students.
To sum up, not as easy as computer science if you are considering staying in US in the long run.
