One MS/Ph.D. research assistant position is available from Fall 2014 in the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Connected Vehicle Technology in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan University, Glassboro, New Jersey, USA.

Skills Required:
•        Programming Skill (C++, Matlab, Visual Basic and/or any other programming languages)
•        Background in Computer Networking
•        Good statistical and advanced mathematics knowledge
•        Not necessary to have a Civil Engineering BS/MS degree. However, must have an engineering degree.   
•        Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence is useful, however, not required.  

Project Description:
Work will include computer simulation and field tests of different Intelligent Transportation System and Connected Vehicle Technology applications, such as cooperative and adaptive driving, advanced traffic management and control systems, advanced traveler information system, resilient transportation infrastructure, transportation safety and highway traffic sensor network.
