I agree in so far as the speaker’s assert that making money for their companies is the only responsibility of corporate executives. However, I think that all the business and social actions for this goal should not only be executed under the permission of the law, but also obey some other regulations.

At first, earning as much money as possible and try to make the profit maximum are the initial motives to create a company and the final object of every company, even the yardstick of judging whether a company is successful and whether the executive of the company is qualified. Although it seems a little ugly and let people feel uncomfortable when the basic aim of every company is related with the money nakedly, there is nothing to be said against it in modern material society. In fact, with the rapid development of the science and technology, there are more and more opportunities appear in the market, many new companies are also created with this wave in order to make money. Nevertheless, only a instant hesitate or a small mistake in decision is fatal to the future of a company, and may finally cause the bankrupt. Therefore, the corporate executives who cannot make money for their companies will be called failures.

Secondly, many people believe that the corporate executives of companies should not only think about how to make as much money as possible, but also should pay more attention on the problems of society such as poverty and hungry of many people and do something beneficial for the society. For example, they can establish some relief fund for needy people or just donate some money every year to help them. However, the corporate executives of companies are not philanthropist, and the only responsibility is just making more profits. By doing this, they already do their greatest contribution to the society. In order to earn more money, the company will adjust all the resources they own to the best condition, and do their best to make better products which has better quality and lower price to attract more consumers. At the same time, if a company get better economic benefit, it is highly possible that it will enlarge to make more profits. The enlargement will bring about many job opportunities and all these things are finally beneficial to our society.

However, in many countries in which the system of law is not perfect or has some flaws, just making money under the permission of law is not enough. For instance, during the past 20 years, the Internet which spread rapidly in the world make great convenience to our daily life, and also lead to some new kinds of crime, especially the economic crime, at the same time. Unfortunately, there is still no prefect legal system to restrain the statements and actions of people on the Internet. Therefore, many corporate executives make use of the loophole of the law to earn money with a bad conscience. For example, one company can employ a hacker to intrude into the intranet of the opponent company and grab the secret documentations about the information of product or develop plan so that the relevant measures can be drew up to beat the opponent. Therefore, staying within the law does not mean that one can use any way that law do not prohibit to make money, all the business action should also be limited by the social moral standard.

To sum up, the only responsibility of corporate executives is to make as much money as possible for their companies, provided they stay within the law and make business actions a matter of conscience.

首段and other regulations還是個比較模糊的概念，不如就是還要由social responsibility的好。

第三段說了要提供fund什麽，这已经算是对社会作贡献了。算是上层建筑了。我觉得还可以说说环境问题什么的，不给社会搞事儿是前提。

first, second不好，这不是并列的关系。所以连接词用的不合适。

第四段说的是法制不健全的问题，这个不够好。题目的主要对象是executives，是他们。似乎讨论一下只关心profit maximization，不关心社会会导致的问题。信誉啦，可持续发展拉（sustainable development）之类的。这个观点不过准。

diction方面要小心，ugly, nakedly都不是这样用的，不要自己造出来词，这样适得其反。

思路还是很清楚的！继续努力啦！:)

Is it the only responsibility of corporate executives that to make as much money as possible for their companies? In my point of view, increasing revenues is the most important obligation of the executives, but there still lie other aspects that they should pay attention to, as discussed below.

Admittedly, corporate executives shoulder a crucial duty of their companies----making money, which are their companies’ major aims. Company does not like any social welfare entity, since the former is motivated by profit while the latter's object is for the well-being of the society. Therefore, pursuing profit maximum is the primary goal of any company, and that is why an executive with excellent capabilities of managing business is always welcome. Moreover, to earn enough money is for the long run of the business since the management and development of a company require substantially financial support. For example, for further investment, managers must carry out many measurements such as market researching, new products exploration, employment, expanding assembly lines, etc, all of which needs enough funds. Therefore, an effective executive who can make more money is critical for the company's evolution and always be the most competitive in job markets.

However, to make as much money as possible for their companies does not consist the whole obligations the executives should face. There are several other obligations they must shoulder for the company as well as for themselves. As a part of society, company should inevitably face many social responsibilities. Tax is an obligation that any company should concern since the management of the society is based on the fund from tax. Usually taxes from companies compose a large percent and thereby any executive should not escape the tax policy. At the first glance, companies would lose revenues from taxing and it seems no good for executives to follow such policy. Further analysis shows, however, if the healthfully run of the business depends on the well-being of the society. If the community always suffers from crimes, can you imagine any company would well run with robbery, theft, kidnap and so on happen? There are many aspects that companies would benefit from such policy such as education, transportation, etc.

Besides that mentioned above, executives should also concern social affairs and politics, which would in turn help them make determination for the development of companies. As for social affairs, executives need to encourage employees of the companies actively participate any social welfare activities, which in turn would build up the acceptable profile of the companies in the public for the good of sales of products. Executives should also pay attention to the politics since the policies carried out by government may change and to ensure the management of companies staying within the law.

In sum, making profit is the primary responsibility of corporate executives since that is why companies exist. But, executives should shoulder many other obligations for the well-being of the society and finally benefit themselves.
