no, I was in Stat, but the admission process is pretty much the same. admission criteria could be different though.

A large portion of math students( excluding stat) want to study stat in their graduate, then do jobs relating to finance :)

I will choose universities in later days, and then prepare for the GRE SUB.
Could you give me any advice on  grad-school selection?
I prefer to study in combinatorics,graph theory or some fields relate to computer science.

I know graph theory has a close combination with CS
For some universities I will apply for its CS directly.

if you don't need financial aid, then you don't have to worry about getting in.
if you do, it will be tough. be as conservative as you can, especially if you don't come from a school with many connections.

I must get the financial aid, so I prefer to apply for PhD program.

BTW, any suggestions about location? Before I return to China,I want to work in US for about 3 yrs.

when you need FA, be as conservative as you can. you don't have a lot of options when it comes to locations since you need money.

if you do end up with multiple offers, choose the ones that are at least with a urban location.  most schools in the rural area drive Chinese students nuts.
