今天5下午5点发了封，7点就回复了。感觉有点模板回复啊，求教怎么办呢？Funding比较难的感觉哎~~~

Thanks for your email, your background experience in sedimentary geology is nice to see. The big hurdle for foreign students who wish to attend Carleton is that they must have funding covering tuition; this is $15,000 CDN per year, for 4 years. Carleton University offers teaching and research assistantship funding to students (total: ~$15,000 per year) plus scholarship funding (<$5000 per year, depending on academic standing). However, it is the tuition cost that must be found outside of Carleton sources. My research grant can't cover this level of cost.

I suspect that there may be several Canada-China scholarship or funding possibilities sourced from China; there may be funding available through Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Canada), but usually for short- term (<6 month visits).

Unfortunately, that is the lay of the land for foreign students. If, however, you can find tuition funding then you can apply online through Carleton's website for Graduate Studies (http://graduate.carleton.ca/), which includes academic transcripts and reference letters, etc., before any assessment can be made.

Sorry that I can't offer encouraging new on the funding front, but check to see what is available through your govt.

这样CSC好像也不行是吧 除非申请到RA或者TA 那改怎么回复？

CSC也是必须要免学费情况下才行吧。。。只能是RA或者TA能申到才行吧

CSC具体怎么操作我不是很清楚，但我认识一个同学读PhD CSC给了19000，我觉得如果你能拿到这个数，老师应该很欢迎你申请 (PS: 现在发考题的真是越来越鸡贼了)
