教授问的问题，如何回？坛子里有前辈分享下经验和template不

I receive many requests of this sort and I am happy to supervise qualified graduate students whose interests match well with my supervisory skills and capacity. However, I require the following information to determine if I am the best supervisor for you, the prospective student:

(1)        Please send a brief outline of the specific skills you wish to acquire in a graduate program. What research methods do you wish to learn and use?

疑问：
1. outline要写得多具体、还是多简单？像做PPT那样列几个要点么？还是要像PS那样串成几段话啊
2. 要我说的skills or methods超出教授范围，还行啊？我可以自学不是吗，但这些真心能foster our research。要这样吗？ 还是规矩地，教授有啥，我就在这基础上blabla。


(3)    Please send a brief summary of your research proposal if you have started to work on one.

疑问：
1. 能写我一篇论文的么。。。还是要新的？
2. 要写得多具体？
3. 基本架构是？有没模板呢？

这个就是能写多详细就写多详细啊，体现你的真实能力和诚意。这样的supervisor也是对学生负责，通过这种方式了解你的研究兴趣，要是你想弄的东西人家没有对应的软硬件搞不起来，你跟他混不也是浪费时间？

其实（1）和（3）算同一个问题，就是让你写个研究计划，当然要新的了。里面要包括研究主题、领域、方法等
