We are looking for undergraduate students/graduate students with the engineering and physics background. A theoretical and/or experimental background in optics/photonics is required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enjoy a dynamic environment, and enjoy working with other people. Full RA/TA opportunities are also available for suitable candidates. High power, high brightness diode lasers and fiber lasers
Generate, modulate, switch and delay light using optical nanostructures in semiconductor (InP, GaAs, and Si) and polymer materials
Optical forces in the nanoscale structures
Optical periodic structures and coupled resonators
